ETH Bitcoin runs counter to the flow of funds in the Ethereum ETF
During the most recent reported trading session, spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded a net inflow of US$6.21 million, while the Ethereum ETF recorded a net outflow of US$140 million. This divergence shows that the capital flows of these two types of assets show a reverse difference of approximately 22:1.
According to data from Farside Investors, the spot Bitcoin ETF achieved a net inflow of US$6.21 million during the trading session. Although the figure is positive, it is moderate and well below the level seen in strong trading days in recent weeks. At the same time, tracking showed an outflow of $140 million from the Ethereum ETF, a significantly larger scale, highlighting the sharp asymmetry in the current flow of capital between the two major cash cryptocurrency fund classes.
Even at low levels, net inflows from Bitcoin ETFs still indicate that net buying pressure persists across the fund portfolio. A net outflow of this magnitude from the Ethereum ETF reflects net redemptions, which means that investors have withdrawn more money from these products than added money during that period.
Previous trading days showed that a single-day inflow of spot Bitcoin ETF reached US$433 million. In comparison, the $6.21 million figure shows a clear slowdown. This comparison also follows a broader pattern: Bitcoin ETFs attracted $433 million in funds, and Ethereum inflows ended, indicating that the flow of funds in Ethereum funds has been under pressure over multiple trading days.
