Coinbase adds Sui pledge, Hashi Test Network expands Bitcoin finance

Coinbase launches SUI pledge service, and Hashi Test Network expands Bitcoin financial applications.

Coinbase has opened SUI pledge service to eligible users, and Sui Network is also promoting its Bitcoin dedicated Hashi Test Network. This allows users to earn daily revenue directly through their exchange accounts. At the same time, Hashi provides a controlled environment for developers and institutions to test Bitcoin financial applications.

SUI pledge is launched and rewards are issued every day.

Coinbase said that users only need to hold at least one SUI token to start pledging. The annualized rate of return is expected to be between 1.4% and 3.3%, depending on network conditions. After the end of each Sui Internet Era (24 hours), the exchange distributes rewards.

At the same time, the system will automatically add the earned rewards to the user's pledge balance. This automatic reinvestment mechanism will increase the amount of funds participating in future pledge cycles. However, actual rates of return may be adjusted based on changes in network activity and verifier performance.

Coinbase announced the service through the official X platform. "You can now pledge SUI directly on Coinbase," the exchange wrote. And promises "instant rewards, which will be accumulated directly into your account."

Regional restrictions on pledge services

Coinbase stated that users in certain jurisdictions are temporarily unable to use the pledge service. Whether users can use the product will depend on regulations and account qualifications in their region. The company also clarified that its announcement did not constitute investment advice.

The launch comes as Coinbase ends a long-running information dispute with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Under the settlement announced Wednesday, the SEC agreed to pay $150,000. The legal dispute involved a lawsuit filed under the Freedom of Information Act regarding a request to obtain relevant records from the agency.

Despite these developments, Coinbase shares fell during Wednesday's trading session. COIN shares fell 3.67 percent to close to $169.40 in intraday trading. The decline continued the recent downward trend in the market value of the exchange's operators.

Hashi Test Network focuses on Bitcoin Finance

Sui launched the Hashi Test Network and has the support of more than 25 ecosystem partners. Developers, custodians and financial institutions can test Bitcoin applications on the test network before the planned mainline goes online. The platform combines Sui's blockchain performance with Hashi's Guardian Layer security system.

The Guardian Layer has strengthened controls on Bitcoin as collateral. At the same time, it supports transparent and programmable financial activities through on-chain applications. Participants can test security features and operating processes before deploying the product to the main network.

Hashi's target applications include lending, credit products and structured income strategies. While TestNet is expanding Bitcoin application scenarios in the Sui ecosystem, Coinbase also provides SUI pledge channels for a wider range of users. Together, these two initiatives mark a new advance in infrastructure in the areas of pledge services and institutional Bitcoin finance.
