Caleb Brown enters the UK, betting on potential demand for cryptocurrencies

Caleb Brown, an Australia cryptocurrency broker controlled by Swyftx Group, has officially entered the UK market, expanding its services to high net worth investors beyond Australia and the United States.

The expansion comes a year after the boutique digital asset broker was acquired by Swyftx for more than $100 million. The company will target high-net-worth customer groups in the UK.

Andrea Yuen, co-CEO of Swyftx Group, said the UK is an "untapped opportunity" because of the country's low adoption rate of cryptocurrencies compared to other markets.

She pointed out: "If you compare the UK to regions such as the United States, Asia and Australia, investment levels in bitcoin and other alternative risky assets are four to five times lower. This is a very attractive growth opportunity."

The 2025 Global Cryptocurrency Adoption Index released by

Chainalysis shows that the UK ranks 11th, behind Russia , the Philippines and Ukraine. Last year, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority estimated that 8% of people in the UK owned cryptocurrencies; this figure was down from 2024, but the typical value held by investors increased.

Yuen said: "The UK is undersupplied in terms of private customer services in the digital asset space. You know, this is one of the oldest and most mature financial centers in the world."

"In this case, the retail cryptocurrency exchange model may make some investors feel uncomfortable. We believe that providing more personalized, tailor-made execution services will be a huge opportunity."
