Tether News
Tether announced on August 6 that it has reached a three-party cooperation with Saudi technology company Advanced Artificial Intelligence Data Corporation (First Data) and financial technology group BKN301 to deploy its Hadron asset tokenization platform in Saudi Arabia for institutional real estate assets.
Tether's Hadron is an asset tokenization platform that handles the issuance, management and full life cycle operations of tokenized assets. Under the agreement, First Data will serve as the commercial leader, issuer and primary market operator of tokenized real estate products in the Kingdom. BKN301 is responsible for integration, bank connectivity, front-end development and operational support, embedding Hadron into First Data's existing infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia is one of the most attractive real-world asset markets
The cooperation targets Saudi Arabia's real estate sector, which has long been one of the country's most liquid asset classes. Tether said tokenization will expand the scope of participation in real estate ownership by lowering entry barriers for local and international investors. The move is also in line with Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" modernization agenda, which includes promoting blockchain-based and Sharia-compliant digital financial infrastructure.
Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, said: "At Tether, we believe that real-world asset tokenization will redefine the financial industry and make global assets more liquid, accessible, secure and scalable. We are proud to support the Kingdom's ambitious goals of expanding participation, unlocking new investment opportunities, and working with First Data and BKN301 to build a more inclusive financial ecosystem."
Nabil Al-Nuaim, Chairman of First Data, said: "Saudi Arabia is one of the most attractive markets for the integration of global technology, capital markets and real-world asset tokenization. By combining First Data's local market experience with Tether's Hadron's proven tokenized infrastructure, we aim to create new opportunities for asset owners, investors and institutions."
Tether focuses on energy and infrastructure expansion
The collaboration is built into a scalable operating model that combines blockchain infrastructure, compliance frameworks and regulated financial services. Tether said the model aims to attract local and international institutional investors and positions Saudi Arabia as a jurisdiction for tokenized asset activity. The three parties said the framework could go beyond real estate and expand to energy, infrastructure project financing and other strategic real-world asset classes.
Stiven Muccioli, CEO of BKN301 Group, said his company's responsibility is to ensure that Hadron's tokenization capabilities are seamlessly connected to the banking, payment and compliance infrastructure needed for institutional deployments in the Kingdom. Tether said Hadron drew on the company's more than a decade of experience in digital asset issuance and management and designed it for modularity, security and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
