Jane Street's market maker role

Jane Street is a market maker. It appears in many XRP ETF products, which has different meaning from standard institutional configuration. Market makers provide liquidity.

Involvement in multiple ETF products at the same time reflects that its involvement in the XRP ETF ecosystem is not a simple single combination decision, but has operational level participation. BankXRP pointed out: "Its presence in the XRP ETF ecosystem deserves attention."

The positions disclosed by Jane Street cover five different XRP ETF issuers, demonstrating its deep participation in the XRP ETF market at a structural level.

Citadel disclosed call options on the Canary XRP ETF in early 2026, but the Jane Street document covered a broader range of products in a single disclosure.

Document Background

The second quarter of 2026 generated a large number of institutional disclosures on XRP. Wells Fargo reported that it holds approximately $9.18 million in Bitwise XRP ETF exposure through two positions.

Bank of Montreal made a similar disclosure a few days ago. Both banks are among the largest commercial banks in North America.

Militia Capital Management filed a revised 13F document disclosing its holding of 31,820 shares of Bitwise XRP ETF. Gallacher Capital Management reported holding 86,744 shares of the Canary XRP ETF worth $961,126. Jane Street's disclosure adds another category of participants to the record.

More institutions are pouring into XRP

Spot XRP ETFs have seen significant capital inflows in recent months. A company with positions in all major issuers contributed to the liquidity structure that supported these inflows. As institutional engagement expands, every new 13F document in 2026 continues to enrich this growing disclosure record.

Jane Street's filing holds more than 1.2 million Bitwise XRP ETF shares, as well as positions in four other issuers, making it one of the most extensive cross-product XRP ETF disclosures in the second quarter cycle to date.
