Significant holdings of Deere, Shopify and Palantel

Ark Investment's share price surged 16% after Cloudflare reported strong second-quarter earnings, spending US$29.9 million on its shares.

The investment company allocated US$26.9 million to Nvidia positions through multiple Ark portfolios.

Major investments include Cerebras Systems ($24.5 million) and Rocket Lab ($23 million).

Ark's largest reduction was Deere, with approximately US$60 million, followed by Shopify, with a reduction of US$22.8 million.

Cloudflare's current P/P ratio is 44.25 times, and GuruFocus believes its valuation is 68.7% above fair value.

Last week, Kathy Wood's Ark investment decisively shifted to artificial intelligence infrastructure and cloud computing technology, and Cloudflare became the fund's largest acquisition target.

The investment management company has purchased a cumulative $29.9 million of Cloudflare stock in its funds, taking advantage of the company's strong second-quarter earnings report to drive the stock price up more than 16%. Several investment banks commented positively on quarterly results and future guidance.

Cloudflare, Inc., NET

The company specializes in providing security solutions and website optimization through its extensive Content Delivery Network infrastructure. Cloudflare's edge computing architecture allows customers to deploy applications without the burden of server management, strategically positioning it in the rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure space.

Nvidia held the second-largest investment position this week. Ark has allocated $26.9 million through five independent funds after news that the semiconductor manufacturer is working with financial institutions to raise $500 billion for artificial intelligence infrastructure projects.

Artificial Intelligence and Aerospace Strategic Focus

Cerebras Systems received approximately US$24.5 million in funding, highlighting Ark's investment in artificial intelligence computing technology. Rocket Lab received approximately $23 million, demonstrating the company's continued interest in the space industry. Broadcom received an additional $16.7 million in configuration.

Other acquisitions include Teradyne ($9.7 million), as well as investments from Cerus, Schrödinger, Intellia Therapeutics, Securitize and the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF.

Substantial holdings of Deere, Shopify and Palantel

In terms of holdings, Deere was the largest position reduction, approximately US$60 million. Shopify was cut by $22.8 million, while Palantel Technology Inc. lost $11.7 million.

The fund also reduced its holdings of 10x Genomics ($11.6 million) and Twist Bioscience ($10.3 million), continuing its retreat from genomics investment.

Other portfolio cuts involve Snowflake, Caterpillar, Iridium Communications, and other positions in multiple areas such as software development, biotechnology and industrial manufacturing.

Although Ark expressed confidence in Cloudflare, valuation indicators are worrying. GuruFocus calculates an intrinsic value of approximately $187.20 per share, well below the current trading price of $315.78. The difference suggests that the stock was trading at approximately 68.7% above the company's calculated fair value.

The company's price-to-sales ratio was 44.25 times, significantly higher than its three-year historical median of 24.58 times. Cloudflare is still losing money, with earnings per share of-0.58 and operating profit margin of-8.11%.

Cloudflare's GF score of 75 out of 100 points shows a strong growth trajectory and positive momentum, but profitability indicators still face challenges. Company insiders have not purchased shares in the past three months, while insider sales reached $252.6 million.

In summary, Ark Investment has strategically redeployed capital into artificial intelligence infrastructure, next-generation computing platforms and aerospace technology, while reducing its position in traditional industrial and genomics.
