Cardano is up again, but the question for ADA holders is where the increase stands in the market.
Driven by a rise in the overall cryptocurrency market and new institutional investment channels, the ADA price rose 9.07% to US$0.191 in 24 hours. However, XRP rose 17%, Ethereum rose 18%, Solana rose 12%, and Bitcoin jumped 11.49%. This once again puts Cardano behind multiple leading projects in the cryptocurrency space.
What is frustrating is that there are actually many positive developments behind the ADA. T. Rowe Price has included ADA in its TKNZ Active Crypto ETF with an allocation ratio of 0.44%; the Cardano Foundation has also closed a pilot fund of 2.5 million ADA; in addition, the Dijkstra upgrade roadmap targets the fourth quarter of 2026 and the second quarter of 2027. So why are Cardano prices still struggling to keep pace?
The latest institutional progress should have given the ADA a stronger boost. T., which manages nearly $1.9 trillion in assets. Rowe Price, in its TKNZ Active Crypto ETF, includes ADA along with BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL and XRP.

Although the allocation ratio is only 0.44%, this opens up another institutional investment channel for Cardano. At the same time, the Cardano Foundation has also launched a 2.5 million ADA pilot fund, which will support 10 to 15 teams to develop products such as oracle machines, stablecoins and on-chain identity tools. In addition, the foundation also held a three-day seminar in SENAI CIMATEC, Brazil, to train educators and R & D personnel and expand the application of Cardano in automotive and agricultural technology.
The Dijkstra upgrade is another major development. Its first phase is planned to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2026 and includes Ouroboros Linear Leios to improve throughput; the second phase is planned to be launched in the second quarter of 2027 and will include governance improvements such as CIP-179. These developments have provided Cardano with sufficient development material, but the market response is still weaker than the response to XRP, ETH and SOL. This raises a more troubling question: Has retail demand for ADA weakened compared to other large altcoins? If traders put more money into ecosystems that expect faster returns, Cardano could still lag behind in price performance even with strong development activity.

Analysts warn: Cardano governance flaws may limit ADA price growth.
We checked the ADA chart and after a difficult August, signs of recovery are clear. The ADA fell from the US$0.205 - 0.21 region in early August to US$0.173 around August 18, forming lower highs and lower lows.

Subsequently, the ADA price broke through upward from the US$0.175 region to approximately US$0.195. The ultimate oscillator has risen to 55.62, indicating that buying pressure has increased but has not yet reached extreme levels. ADA is currently testing the $0.19 - 0.20 range. If we can break through US$0.20, it may open the path to US$0.205 - 0.21; but if we lose US$0.19, the ADA price may fall back to US$0.18 - 0.175.
In the final analysis, Cardano's problem may not be a lack of good news, but whether the market is willing to pay for it. ADA has institutional investment channels, eco-funds and major upgrades coming, but it still lags behind XRP, ETH and SOL in the overall rally. Unless ADA prices start to outperform other large altcoins, the gap between Cardano's development story and market performance will be difficult to ignore.
FAQs
Why does Cardano lag behind other major cryptocurrencies?
Although ADA prices increased by 9.07%, XRP, ETH and SOL increased by 17%, 18% and 12% respectively. This shows that despite Cardano's many positive developments, market demand for ADA is relatively weak.
Can the ADA price reach US$0.20?
Possibly. The ADA is already testing the resistance zone of $0.19-$0.20. If it can decisively break through US$0.20, it is expected to move further towards US$0.205 - 0.21.
What happens if ADA fails to hold on to $0.19?
A break below US$0.19 could weaken the recovery and push the ADA price back to US$0.18, with US$0.175 being the next major support level.
