Beldex completes US$8 million in financing to accelerate the development of Web3 and AI privacy layers
Beldex, a privacy-focused blockchain infrastructure company, announced that it has completed US$8 million in financing, bringing its total financing amount to US$36 million. This round of financing aims to accelerate the advancement of privacy-driven solutions for Web3 applications and AI systems.
Leading investors support privacy-first infrastructure
The US$8 million round of financing was led by Sigma Capital, followed by NTC, Nxgen, Digital Consensus Fund and EAK Ventures. Previously, Beldex has received support from DWG Labs and Block Alpha. This diverse lineup of investors collectively endorses Beldex's vision of making privacy a core element of infrastructure rather than an added feature.
Beldex is committed to building a composable infrastructure that allows developers to natively implement covert smart contracts and encrypted proxy identities. The company said the new funds will be used to create a unified privacy layer that provides both functional and secure support for decentralized applications.
Roadmap: Fully homomorphic encryption, quantum-resistant capabilities and EVM sidechains
This funding will accelerate Beldex's work on fully homomorphic encryption research and the development of quantum-resistant consensus mechanisms. These technologies are designed to protect confidential data and defend against future computing threats, including the challenges posed by quantum computing.
In addition, Beldex plans to launch EVM-compatible sidechains to enable seamless processing of sensitive data while providing strong privacy guarantees for application users and AI agents.
Small Dictionary: Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is an advanced encryption technology that allows encrypted data to be computed without decryption, ensuring data privacy throughout the process.
Industry View
Vineet Budki, Managing Director and CEO of Sigma Capital, emphasized Beldex's commitment to privacy: "Beldex has been integrating privacy into the infrastructure itself for many years. As AI proxies and Web3 applications increasingly require privacy, we believe Beldex is well prepared for the next era of Web3. It is based on this belief that we chose to lead this round of financing."
Product Suite Expansion and Global Layout
Beldex will use the new funding to launch its expansion wallet and a complete set of software development kits (SDKs). These tools are designed to benefit developers around the world by lowering barriers to advanced encryption features. The company's goal is to embed default privacy into thousands of decentralized applications, making privacy the norm rather than the exception.
Beldex Chairman Afandi Bin Hushni said the company's architecture is designed to ensure that every byte of data is encrypted before entering the network-whether it is used for AI agent decision trees or security messages. "With this $8 million in new financing, we are finally able to build an 'ark' from scratch, ensuring that every byte of data-whether it's a complete decision tree for an AI agent or a simple message-is encrypted by default before entering the network."
Dr. Alex Mok Kong Ming, chief operating officer of Beldex, added that the company has evolved from providing privacy support for basic blockchain transactions to building basic privacy infrastructure for consumers, developers and AI agents. He pointed out that increased AI autonomy has increased the need for secure, private data processing, and emphasized that Beldex's mission is to meet this need at the protocol level.
Cross-chain interoperability and quantum-resistant technologies
Some of the funds will be used to expand Beldex's cross-chain capabilities, including developing secure bridges to networks such as Ethereum, Solana and Base. The company is also developing anti-quantum messaging protocols and optimizing its VRF-based consensus mechanism to guard against emerging computing risks.
By integrating these advanced technologies, Beldex strives to transform from a niche privacy protocol into a fundamental platform for a new Internet environment, allowing AI and decentralized finance to operate securely and confidentially in a user-centered ecosystem.
