Real-World Asset (RWA) Tokenization into Focus
RWA topics at the 2026 Dubai Crypto Expo 2026 attracted widespread attention. United Arab Emirates maintains a remarkable leading position in real-world asset tokenization.
The two-day Dubai Cryptocurrency Expo 2026 continues to surprise attendees, with in-depth dialogues and discussions between the host and industry celebrities extremely insightful. Especially in a series of fireside interviews, the host invited many heavyweight guests in the cryptocurrency field and focused the spotlight on the eye-catching theme of "real-world asset (RWA) tokenization."
RWA tokenization is at the heart of
In a wonderful fireside interview on the first day of the show, Banx Network's moderator Bilal Farooq hosted a star-studded panel discussion aimed at exploring how to connect traditional markets with blockchain infrastructure. The team includes Anton Golub of RWA Labs, Faraj Abut Alibov of Stellar Development Foundation, Aurelie Dhellemmes of Canton Network, Tika Lum of KuCoin, and Estelle Roiena of the Cardano Foundation.
The hot topic of RWA tokenization clearly demonstrates the increasingly steady pace of the global transition to tokenization. An expert attending the meeting pointed out that many well-known financial institutions and markets have embraced tokenized assets, which strongly proves that the world is moving towards long-term adoption of tokenized RWA transactions and investments.
Another guest emphasized that previous panel discussions revealed that traditional finance (TradFi) and cryptocurrencies are at a critical convergence point. This means that integration is a foregone conclusion, and only exciting innovations await us in the future. In addition, guests talked about the liquidity and capital scale brought by RWA tokens into the market. Only one traditional financial institution brought in transaction volume of US$26 billion.
Another view points out that one-tenth of the total stablecoin trading volume is held by financial institutions, of which 93% is concentrated in the hands of five large institutions. These trends confirm that institutional-level tokenization is a long-term trend, and traditional financial leaders have seen cryptocurrencies and blockchain as solid cornerstones beyond mere innovation. After crossing the "irreversible point", institutions and crypto companies are working together to ensure common success for all parties.
Dubai Cryptocurrency Expo focuses on RWA development in the United Arab Emirates
Although each guest contributed profound and insightful views, the core of the discussion turned to the importance of regulatory clarity. This is because if regulators lack credibility, tokenization can come with risks. Investors must be convinced that purchasing RWA tokens means gaining legal ownership of the underlying assets to which they are linked. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that regulators are trustworthy and can provide guarantees that go beyond verbal commitments and are backed by solid assets.
In response to this issue, Golub shared the high credibility of the United Arab Emirates and its Virtual Asset Regulation Authority (VARA) regulations. VARA fully supports blockchain technology and its innovation, and is committed to improving the lives of people, residents, investors and all those participating in the tokenization of RWA in the United Arab Emirates. He concluded that the United Arab Emirates's regulatory system not only focuses on investor interests, but also ensures transparency and privacy of transactions.
It is this comprehensive regulatory clarity, coupled with the country's outstanding resilience in the face of challenges, its commitment to safety and its firm commitment to innovation, that makes the United Arab Emirates an ideal place to launch RWA tokenization. In fact, the country has successfully completed the tokenization sale of real assets such as real estate through platforms such as Prypco, achieving this feat.
