He noted that given that there are no major events scheduled this week other than remarks from Fed policymakers, market volatility may persist in the weeks leading up to the Fed's late October meeting.

Jeff Mei expects price volatility to become more intense in the final period before the Federal Reserve's next interest rate decision. He noted that until then, only a single inflation data release and a month-long speech by policymakers might affect the direction of the market.

Elsewhere in the industry, ZEC rose 3% to above US$1,500 and BNB rose 2% to nearly US$777. Ethereum (ETH) and HYPE both rose 2%. Among other major tokens, XRP, DOGE, SOL and TRX all increased by less than 1%.
