Benji breaks US$1.5 billion on the BNB chain
Franklin Templeton's Benji Investment Platform has accumulated approximately US$1.5 billion in assets on the BNB chain, making the network a leading blockchain ecosystem for the institution's tokenized products.
Benji Platform is Franklin Templeton's own tokenization platform that promotes the trading, management and administration of token-based investment products. The platform launched the world's first on-chain mutual fund registered in the United States in 2021 and now supports multiple tokenized products serving retail and institutional customers.
Franklin Templeton's broader BENJI tokenized treasury bond fund, the overall assets under management have exceeded US$2.5 billion, growing by more than 100% so far in 2026. The $1.5 billion milestone on the BNB chain alone highlights the network's dominance in this field.
Why choose BNB chain?
BNB Chain has positioned itself as the center of tokenization of physical assets, covering money market funds, stocks and credit products, providing scalability, low fees and real-time settlement. This initiative leverages the technological advantages of the BNB chain-including scalable, low-cost infrastructure and high transaction throughput-to amplify Benji's institutional-level tokenization capabilities, creating a new class of on-chain financial assets.
A key differentiator of the Benji platform is its "intra-day earnings" feature, which calculates and allocates earnings with second-level accuracy, meaning investors no longer need to hold assets for a full day to earn interest. Earnings are calculated proportionately based on actual holding time, making tokenized securities more liquid and combinable in the DeFi workflow.
Tokenization is increasingly becoming a reality in the traditional financial sector, as institutions are embracing blockchain to accelerate settlement, improve accessibility, and inject transparency into previously opaque markets. Franklin Templeton's expanding presence on the BNB chain is a reflection of this broad shift. As of April 30, 2026, the asset management company's total assets reached US$1.74 trillion.
