Cardano's ADA price has rebounded to around $0.19, but this rebound comes in one of the most difficult times for the Internet. Technical failures, project closures, governance disputes and declining user activity have all tested the market's confidence in Cardano.
Price charts also send warning signals. The ADA must recover multiple key price points for its rebound to appear credible. One of the resistance levels has twice prevented Cardano's price from rising, while there is stronger resistance above waiting to break through.
Cyberdivision and security breaches hit confidence
In November 2025, Cardano suffered cyberdivision. Attackers use AI-generated scripts to launch attacks using known deserialization vulnerabilities. Differences between old and new nodes over the validity of certain transactions have temporarily led to two separate ledger histories. During the incident, multiple Cardano decentralized applications were disrupted.
In 2026, Cardano faces two more security issues:
In June 2026, SecondFi was attacked. The attackers targeted its wallet-generating software and stole approximately 16 million ADAs from hundreds of addresses. The main chain of Cardano was unaffected by the incident, but the theft damaged confidence in key ecological services. EMURGO decided to shut down the SecondFi wallet service in August 2026.
In July 2026, a third-party old bridging protocol encountered another major attack. The stolen assets are then transferred through Binance and Cardano Bridge Channel. The bridging incident exposed weaknesses in the old infrastructure connected to Cardano. These incidents have added new obstacles to a network that is already struggling to retain users and developers.
Major project closures lead to reduced ecological activities
Several important Cardano projects have ceased operations due to high costs and limited use. TapTools, one of the network's most well-known analytics platforms, terminated service. The JPG Store, Cardano's largest NFT market, is also permanently closed. These two closures reduced the number of key tools available in the Cardano ecosystem.
Charles Hoskinson warns that more ecological projects may fail. The Cardano founder described the environment as a "toxic hell," with funding shortages and slow community support causing difficulties for developers.
"It's a pretty clear strategy. Turn Cardano into a poisonous hell until I leave, and then they will disappear and let Cardano die. Then they would say Cardano was a failed project because Charles deceived everyone. This is a sick and distorted plan."-- Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) June 3, 2026
Current ecological concerns include:
Rising costs have made some Cardano projects difficult to maintain. Limited usage weakens developer revenue opportunities. Slow treasury decision-making delays in support of important projects. The number of retail wallets online continues to decline. A temporary ADA price rally led by large households has not reversed these problems.
Governance disputes delay important funding
Cardano's Volterra phase hands over more control to community votes. However, the system is divided over how to use treasury funds. A controversy ended with the cancellation of the 2026 Cardano summit. The community rejected a request for approximately US$1.83 million (approximately 7.8 million ADA) that was originally planned to hold the event in Singapore. Input Output Global has also applied for approximately $46.8 million for its 2026 development plan. Community members opposed parts of the proposal or chose not to vote.
Hoskinson warned that continuing funding problems could cause Cardano to lose some of his top researchers. Further resistance could eventually endanger its core research laboratory.
Cardano's total locked position value has also dropped to approximately US$118 million. This size puts the network behind newer first-tier competitors such as Aptos and Mantle. Lower liquidity has made Cardano less competitive in the broader DeFi market. Institutional interest also remains limited. Most mainstream altcoin ETF activity is concentrated on Ethereum and Solana, which reduces a potential source of demand for ADA.
ADA price chart shows difficult recovery path
Cardano prices have been struggling since hitting an all-time high of about $3 in 2021. ADA continues to fall in 2026 despite multiple consolidations. The main downtrend occurred after the ADA broke below support near $0.23. This level has supported Cardano prices in the weekly time frame since January 2021. Losing this solid bottom weakens the overall chart structure.

ADA then fell to around $0.13, then recovered to around $0.19. However, the previous support level of $0.23 may now become strong resistance. This resistance could hold down Cardano prices for a long time unless buyers show enough strength to recover them.
Looking at the daily Cardano chart, another immediate issue appears around $0.199. That level has rejected ADA prices twice in the past two months. Another failed attempt could cause prices to fall back into lower support areas. Even if it successfully breaks through $0.199, the recovery will not be completed. The ADA will still face stronger weekly resistance around $0.23.
Technical indicators remain biased towards caution
Cardano's technical indicators provide little conclusive evidence of bullish reversals. The RSI on the 14th was at 51.249, giving a neutral reading. All other indicators show sell signals.
Cardano Indicator Numerical Signal
RSI 14 51.249 Neutral
MACD12 and 26 - 0.001 Sell
Rate of Change-0.418 Sell
BullBear Power 13 - 0.0007 Sell
These readings suggest that ADA prices have not yet gathered enough strength to confirm a broader recovery. The neutral RSI provided some relief, but MACD, rate of change and bearish power remained bearish.
