Grayscale completed fund rebalancing in the second quarter of 2026, including BNB into smart contract funds for the first time.
Grayscale, the world's leading digital asset management company, has completed fund rebalancing adjustments in the second quarter of 2026. The company has made major portfolio adjustments to its DeFi, smart contract and decentralized AI funds, the most notable change being the first time BNB was included in the Smart Contract Fund. These updates indicate that Gray has established a new priority in institutional investment strategies.
Greyscale Smart Contract Funds Added BNB
The most significant changes in the second quarter update of Greyscale occurred in smart contract funds. The company included BNB in its fund portfolio for the first time. The rebalanced fund distribution is as follows:
Ethereum (ETH): approximately 29%
Solana (SOL): approximately 29%
BNB: approximately 31%
Other smart contract projects: The remaining part of
BNB was included in the fund with a large weight and is regarded as an important measure of gray's confidence in the long-term growth potential of the BNB Chain ecosystem.

DeFi Fund Asset Distribution Adjustment
Gray also re-adjusted the asset distribution of decentralized financial (DeFi) funds. As of August 3, the latest distribution of the fund is as follows:
Uniswap (UNI): 34.16%
Ondo Finance (ONDO): 25.44%
Aave (AAVE): 19.97%
Ethena (ENA): 12.19%
Curve DAO (CRV): 4.42%
Lido DAO(LDO):3.82%
This distribution shows that the company continues to increase investment in strong projects in the DeFi space.
The weight of TAO in AI funds has increased
Gray levels have also made remarkable adjustments in the portfolio of Decentralized AI Fund. The company reduced some of its NEAR Protocol positions, reducing the asset's weighting in the portfolio to approximately 31%. At the same time, the weight of Bittensor (TAO) was increased to about 29%. This rebalancing shows that Gray is updating its investment strategy for a decentralized AI ecosystem, especially increasing its focus on AI-centered blockchain projects. Analysts pointed out that the increase in the weight of TAO may mean increased confidence among institutional investors in projects that integrate AI and blockchain technology.
Institutional investors 'focus is shifting
Experts believe that Gray's regular fund rebalancing operations are based on factors such as market value, liquidity, project progress and changes in investment strategies. Therefore, these updates provide important clues as to which projects institutional investors are more concerned about. In particular, the inclusion of BNB in smart contract funds shows that institutional investors are no longer just focusing on traditional smart contract networks such as Ethereum and Solana, but are also beginning to pay attention to the BNB Chain ecosystem. Analysts said that based on market conditions, Gray Future may further update the fund distribution.
