Internet computer (ICP) prices fell 2.40% to US$2.25 in the past 24 hours, giving up some of their recent gains, while the overall crypto market was basically flat. The ICP has risen about 7% in the past week and encountered resistance in the $2.35 to $2.45 range. This makes the recent correction more like profit-taking and consolidation than a new collapse in fundamentals. In addition, ICP has an important network indicator in its favor: cumulative transaction volume has exceeded Solana by approximately 2.5 times. Given that ICP processes hundreds of billions of transactions and multiple roadmap upgrades target artificial intelligence, hardware and governance, the key question is whether network fundamentals can help ICP prices recover to recent highs.
ICP transaction volume exceeds Solana by 2.5 times
According to a platform report, Internet Computer (ICP) has processed a total of approximately 298 billion transactions since its launch in May 2021, compared with approximately 121 billion transactions for Solana. The latest Chainspect dashboard also shows similar data: about 296 billion transactions were recorded on ICP and about 118 billion on Solana, which means that the cumulative transaction volume of ICP is about 2.5 times that of Solana.
This is crazy! According to Chainspect data, Internet computers (native) have processed approximately 298 billion cumulative transactions since their launch in May 2021, approximately 2.5 times that of Solana (approximately 121 billion). Internet computer (native) leads the major L1 in cumulative transaction volume, thanks to... -A platform (@ a platform) August 11, 2026
It should be pointed out that the total transaction volume measures network activity and does not necessarily represent economic value. ICP's high transaction volume stems from its architecture and low-cost computing, so this number alone does not mean that ICP is more valuable than Solana. However, this does provide a strong fundamental indicator for ICP prices, especially as the network expands its computing and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The Internet computer roadmap or the roadmap supporting ICP prices
ICP contains multiple potential catalysts. The Gyrotron milestone aims to introduce GPU-enabled nodes and dedicated artificial intelligence subnets to ICP, with the goal of supporting large-model reasoning and training on the chain. DFINITY has described GPU integration as the next important step beyond CPU-based artificial intelligence reasoning. The Knot milestone is also in progress, mainly targeting third-generation node hardware and the revised node provider reward mechanism. Nucleon focuses on the more active DAO community in the NNS and SNS governance systems. All three areas are likely to increase network capacity, decentralization and utilization, increasing the demand for ICP cycles. The official roadmap lists Knot and Nucleon as ongoing milestones.
Information revealed by Internet computer charts
We analyzed the charts, and the technical signals were mixed. ICP prices rose from about $2.10 to nearly $2.40, before falling back to about $2.24. This makes $2.35 to $2.45 the main resistance area, with recent highs close to $2.40, constituting the first important test.

The Ultimate Oscillator is at 40.46, below the 50 median line, indicating that buying pressure has cooled. The Stochastic oscillator was also weak at 31.11, with a signal line of 29.77 and is approaching the 20 oversold zone but has not yet touched it.
Recent support is around $2.20, followed by $2.15 and $2.10. Holding on to $2.20 provides a basis for buyers to try again to hit $2.35. A loss of $2.10 would weaken the bullish structure and expose the $2.00 area.
Where might ICP prices go next?
ICP's bullish path starts with recovering $2.30. A breakthrough of $2.35 would bring $2.40 back into view, and a clean breakthrough of $2.45 could open up space for moving towards $2.50.
ICP's bearish path is activated when US$2.20 falls. This will put $2.15 and $2.10 in focus, with $2.00 becoming a deeper support level.
The most likely trend for ICP is to consolidate between $2.20 and $2.35. A weekly gain of 7% has put the ICP into resistance territory, while the Stochastic Indicator is at 31.11 and the Ultimate Oscillator is at 40.46, indicating that there is still room for further cooling before the next breakthrough attempt. If buyers hold on to $2.20, the ICP price may be retested from $2.35 to $2.40.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the ICP price forecast in 2026? If the ICP breaks through the US$2.35 to US$2.45 resistance zone, US$2.40 to US$2.50 may be retested; but if the ICP breaks below US$2.20, the price may fall towards US$2.10 or US$2.00.
Why is ICP better than Solana in terms of transaction volume? ICP has processed approximately 298 billion transactions since its launch, approximately 2.5 times that of Solana (approximately 121 billion), thanks to its high-throughput architecture and extremely low transaction costs.
Can the ICP reach US$3? If the ICP breaks through the $2.40 to $2.50 resistance zone and maintains buying pressure, it could reach $3. Starting from about $2.25, reaching $3 requires an increase of about 33%.
