Clear Street joins XDC Network Core Infrastructure
Clear Street has joined XDC Network as an institutional master node verifier. The New York-based financial infrastructure company is therefore directly involved in the operation of the core transaction layer of the blockchain. As the primary node verifier, Clear Street will be directly responsible for the operations of the core transaction infrastructure, including block verification, ledger maintenance, and network governance.
XDC Network is an enterprise-level, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain designed for trade finance, cross-border payments and real-world asset tokenization. Its main network has been online since June 2019. The network is built for trade financing, asset tokenization and other financial market activity scenarios. To become a master node operator, you must contribute at least 10 million XDC tokens. Under XDC's proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, only the master node (i.e., the core verifier) is responsible for verifying and approving transactions.
Robert Rutherford, CEO of Clear Street Digital, said: "Compliant public blockchain is becoming part of the capital market infrastructure, and companies building market infrastructure should participate in this layer of operations. Running master node validators on the XDC network allows Clear Street to delve into a network consensus layer built for payments, trade finance and tokenization of real-world assets."
Part of a wave of institutional push
The addition of Clear Street is the latest case in which the XDC verifier community continues to attract institutional names. From April to June, a number of regulated agencies, including HashKey Cloud, Animoca Brands, Clearpool, SettleMint and blockchain security company CertiK, have joined the ranks of verifiers. In addition, operators such as Deutsche Telekom, SBI Holdings and UOB Venture Management have also previously run nodes.
In May 2026, the tokenization value on XDC exceeded US$1 billion, of which real-world assets accounted for 71.5% of the chain composition. Unlike networks that rely on anonymous verifiers, XDC consciously attracts regulated agencies with well-known brands, an option that fits the very nature of the chain built around trade finance and tokenization of real-world assets. The move not only expands the XDC network's validator lineup, but also deepens the participation of regulated financial institutions in public blockchain infrastructure.
