CRV climbs amid surging trading volume, and recovery continues for weeks.

Curve DAO Token ($CRV) is currently trading at approximately US$0.32, up 20.5% in the past 24 hours, with a weekly gain of 33.7%. Trading volume surged to US$261.5 million, a three-fold increase from before. The trend further boosted the weeks-long recovery that coincided with the overall market rebound.

According to Coinbase, the latest CRV price is US$0.3158, up about 20% from 24 hours ago.

CRV fell from a high of US$1.33 at the end of 2024, and after 2025 and extending into the first quarter of 2026, it bottomed out around US$0.18. The current rally marks a significant rebound from its low, but the token remains well below its previous high.

Ethereum's launch of Llamalend V2 and fee allocation proposals boost market sentiment

This price increase follows the release of Curve Finance's H1 report. The report confirmed that Llamalend V2 has been launched on Ethereum, and the fee is charged directly to the DAO. The report also mentions a pending governance proposal to increase the DAO's share of protocol fees from 10% to 30%, a change that could significantly improve the token economy model of CRV holders.

Curve Finance had completed a security audit by Chain Security before Llamalend V2 was first deployed on Optimism, and the relevant contract was subsequently deployed on the Ethereum main network on August 13.

Llamalend V2 introduces a number of important upgrades, including support for LP tokens and principal tokens as collateral, and allowing the use of assets other than the protocol native stablecoin crvUSD to create a lending market. Non-crvUSD markets can generate management fees and flow into Curve DAO, giving Llamalend a clearer role in Curve's long-term economic model.

For the broader DeFi lending space, these upgrades position Curve as a more complete financial stack: integrating decentralized exchanges, stablecoins and lending layers, creating more direct competition with agreements such as Aave.
