Shiba Inu consultant denies rumors of project restart and warns of the risk of fraudulent links.
Mazrael, a consultant at ShibaEternity and a member of the Shiba Inu community for a long time, recently responded to speculation that the project may restart, clearly refuting the rumors as groundless.
Community posts sparked speculation
Such speculation originated from a post by X platform user RuggRat, claiming that Shiba Inu may not only change direction, but may even restart completely. RuggRat cited a proposal discussed in the community forum, suggesting it could mean a complete break with the current project roadmap.
According to RuggRat's post, the proposal recommends divesting the Shiba Inu ecosystem from parts still managed by previous leadership. Specific measures include: disconnecting existing infrastructure, migrating to other blockchains, building a new ShibaSwap platform, and avoiding using the Shib.io website (as it is still controlled by the previous team). The post also mentioned that consideration may be given to removing the advanced cryptographic protocol Zama from the project's future plans, re-evaluating tokens such as BONE, LEASH, and TREAT, while conducting a thorough reform of the governance structure and community systems.
(Note: Zama is a company that focuses on cryptographic protocols, using fully homomorphic encryption technology to develop privacy protection solutions for blockchain applications.)
The post suggested that this would mark a significant departure from the project's near-term vision based on Shibarium (Shiba Inu's Layer 2 blockchain), as well as the confidentiality capabilities provided by Zama and the existing architecture supported by many holders.
Consultant rejects false statements, highlights fraud risks
RuggRat also includes a link to a page called "Shiba DAO" with a warning that the content may be related to fraud or malicious activity. Other users have also flagged so-called "rebuild" proposals as potential scams.
Mazrael was quick to respond to these claims, pointing out that this was an act of deliberate disinformation. In a direct response to RuggRat's post, Mazrael wrote: "Funny how persistent you know it's fake." He further emphasized that the so-called attempt to restart the project was purely a fabrication and aimed at deceiving the community. Another user also seconded the suggestion, saying that the term "reconstruction" was obviously a fraud. Mazrael emphasized that the posts were carefully planned and misleading with the intention of deceiving Shiba Inu's supporters.
Community warning: Be wary of false migration news
This occurred at a time when the Shiba Inu ecosystem was on high alert. Fraud activity has increased, especially false migration information spread through the Telegram channel. According to reports, scammers first banned words and banned project developers on these channels, and then posted misleading migration messages.
Mazrael made clear that certain malicious actors were the initiators of false migration news and forged restart proposals, and clarified that these people had no connection with ShibaSwap, Shibarium or related project development (including Zama's technology). He reiterated that the men had "no connection with ShibaSwap or Shibarium, let alone Zama."
Members of the Shiba Inu community are urged to remain vigilant not to visit unofficial websites or open suspicious links, and to take necessary precautions to protect funds from theft.
