Core points
rose 94% in a week: ENA rebounded strongly from summer lows, completing an impressive short-term counterattack.
is far from reaching its peak: the token is still down about 70% from its October high of about $0.53.
Fibonacci resistance: The US$0.179 level has become an important upper resistance for bulls.
Futures dominate the market: derivatives trading volume is more than seven times the spot trading volume.
Giant Whale Trend: A US$1.5 million Binance deposit has attracted attention, but it only accounts for a very small portion of daily market liquidity.
A strong week cannot repair the unbalanced daily chart
As of press time, ENA prices were hovering around US$0.16, having recovered rapidly from August lows. This brought its seven-day gain to nearly 94%, according to CoinGlass. There is no doubt about the strength of the rebound, but the gap that tokens still need to fill is equally obvious.
Looking back on the daily chart, ENA entered a broad multi-month downward trend after hitting a high near US$0.53 in October. Even after nearly doubling in the past week, prices are still down about 70% from their peak. Sharp weekly rallies in the short term often make technical charts look healthy, but a single surge is difficult to repair macro-level damage overnight.
The current immediate technical resistance level is near the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement level of $0.179. ENA is currently trading below the region, making it a clear resistance level rather than a confirmed support level. Prices hit the area hard after the initial breakthrough, but buyers still need to clear up the supply pressure above, close the price firmly at this level, and hold on to this position during backtests to prove that a real trend reversal is underway.
If the bulls succeed in achieving a clean break above $0.179, the next natural technical targets will be $0.247 (0.382 Fibonacci position) and $0.3017 (0.5 Fibonacci position). Conversely, encountering resistance at current prices could drag ENA back to the lower boundary of its wider trading range, while the August bottom area near $0.07 is a reminder of how volatile these cycles can be.

Key technical observation points
The US$1.5 million Binance deposit was just market noise, not a control signal
On-chain tracker Nazokuredly recently highlighted a transaction: a wallet transferred 9.776 million ENAs (worth approximately US$1.5 million) to Binan deposit address. The post mentioned a previous transfer of 1.2 million USDT and raised questions about whether a venture capital institution was preparing to sell through a broker.
It is tempting to view exchange transfers as a clear transaction signal, but the raw blockchain data has its limitations. The on-chain record only shows the address at which the token entered the exchange, and there is no other information. It cannot tell us who controls the wallet, whether the assets are actually being sold off, or whether they are being transferred as futures margin, used for internal fund rebalancing, or provided inventory to market makers.
Background information is more important when considering market liquidity. CoinGlass data shows ENA's daily derivatives trading volume is approximately US$2 billion, with another US$276.95 million in spot trading. Deposits of $1.5 million account for only 0.5% of daily spot trading volume and are almost negligible in overall market activity. Such a sudden market sell order may wipe out a weak order book in a short period of time, but it is far from enough to drive a continued trend across the market.
Derivatives are driving current price movements
If you want to understand what is really driving prices right now, please focus on market structure rather than individual wallet transfers. ENA's futures trading volume is currently more than seven times that of spot trading volume, with total open interest approaching US$484 million.
When leverage dominates the market, price fluctuations can quickly become chaotic. A futures market may rise sharply as short positions are forced to close, and prices fall equally sharply later when bulls begin to take profits or lose confidence. High leverage also makes market participants very sensitive. Traders often respond panic to headlines and wallet alerts before the token actually enters the order book.
Markets need to meet two clear conditions before confirming a healthy recovery. First, technical charts need to stay cleanly above $0.179. Second, once the initial wave of derivatives liquidations subsides, real spot buying needs to be picked up.
Ethena is expanding, but ENA is not equity
Behind the token price, Ethena's underlying agreement continues to expand its influence. In its June governance update, Ethena reported that USDe supply reached approximately $4.46 billion at the end of the month. The report also details custody and wallet services expanded through Coinbase, as well as a strategic partnership with Janus Henderson involving investments in ENA, CLO reserve consolidation, and dedicated USDe treasury allocation.
In addition, the update notes that StablecoinX, an entity built around Ethena's stablecoin products, has begun trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol USDE. According to Ethena, StablecoinX holds approximately 20% of the total ENA supply and holds approximately $890 million in PIPE financing to drive USDe adoption.
These milestones are significant to Ethena's corporate influence and liquidity support, but cryptocurrency traders often fall into the misunderstanding that the adoption of protocols will directly benefit governance token holders.
Unlike company shares, ENA does not grant direct claims on agreement gains or revenue. Although the growth in USDe's market value strengthens the ecosystem's overall story, ENA tokens will not automatically appreciate just because more people own USDe.
Fee switches are a discussion of the future, not current cash flow
Market commentators often view Erena's hypothetical "fee switches" as an active cash flow mechanism. However, this is not the case. Although the idea is often discussed by community members and governance forum participants, there is currently no active protocol mechanism to allocate system revenue directly to ENA holders.
If you track ENA as a long-term transaction target, please focus on specific indicators: continued growth in USDe supply, institutional consolidation to drive practical application value, and official governance proposals that clearly spell out the economic framework for the accumulation of token value. Until fee switches move from forum discussions to actual running code, protocol growth and token valuation will remain two related story lines, not the same financial transaction.
$0.179: The dividing line between real recovery and soaring leverage
ENA undoubtedly has momentum, high trading volume and much more trader attention than during the summer downturn. However, it is also directly hitting a major level of technical resistance, and below it is a heavy derivatives market.
A decisive, high-volume breakthrough above $0.179 would clear the way to $0.2470 and give bulls control of the narrative. On the other hand, failure to break through this ceiling means that the larger downward trend remains intact. In this case, ENA will remain as it has been for months: a volatile token that has experienced a sharp short-term rebound, rather than a market that has regained its lost structural bull trend.
