UNI prices have fallen back after a strong rise. The repurchase and destruction mechanism was launched this week. What will the trend be?
UNI prices have cooled down after a strong rally, falling 2.42% in the past 24 hours and are currently trading at around US$3.55. The correction was accompanied by a 1.15% decline in the entire cryptocurrency market, including a 1.59% decline in Bitcoin, while the Fear and Greed Index remained at 29, indicating that the overall market is still in a state of fear.
The decline was partly due to the fact that UNI had gained about 14% in the past week and traders chose to take profits. Despite its weak performance in the short term, Uniswap is ushering in one of the most important changes in its history. Agreement fees are now in effect, governance is voting on repurchase and token destruction, and investors are watching closely to see whether this new model can push up UNI prices again.
Why Uniswap's repurchase and destruction could be a turning point
Uniswap founder Hayden Adams confirmed that the agreement fee is now in effect, opening the door to the first ongoing UNI repurchase and destruction program. Currently, governance is voting on whether to enable fee charges in v2 and v3 versions of Robinhood Chain, the Uniswap v4 pool, and network bridging upgrades including Avalanche, XLayer, MegaETH and Sonium.

Once these proposals are passed, part of the agreement revenue will be used to purchase UNI from the open market and permanently remove these tokens from circulation.
This is a major change for UNI prices, as the agreement has generated more than $5.2 million in daily fees, making it one of the highest-grossing crypto protocols outside the USDC and USDT. If cost generation remains at this level, the destruction mechanism will steadily reduce circulating supplies over time, providing UNI with its first meaningful deflation catalyst.
What are the factors driving UNI prices this week?
The biggest driving force behind UNI prices comes from the activity on Robinhood Chain. The integration contributed $4.38 million to Uniswap's $5.2 million daily fees, while the number of daily active traders surged from approximately 22,000 to 220,000 in a week. Trading volume is also approaching $1 billion, helping UNI prices recover about 35% from their early July lows.
Uniswap DAO is still voting to expand the scope of agreement fees to cover 11 blockchains, including the Robinhood Chain and Uniswap v4 pools. More fee capture will increase the amount of money available for UNI buybacks and destruction, although a slight decline in liquidity provider earnings may prompt some funds to flow to other competitive decentralized exchanges.
Regulatory concerns have also eased, with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ending its investigation into Uniswap Labs earlier this year. Even so, competition remains fierce. PancakeSwap and several newer decentralized exchanges are actively competing for liquidity through lower fees and incentive programs.
What signal does the UNI chart show?
We looked at the chart and saw buyers regaining control near the June low of about $2.40. UNI has gradually recovered to above $3.50. The chart shows its lows rising, a signal that momentum is shifting. Despite today's decline, the overall view is still recovering.

Technical indicators also support this view. The RSI is 51.71, which is in the middle position, neither overbought nor oversold, and there is still room for upside. The stochastic indicator, at 21.58, is close to oversold territory after the latest decline, which usually means buyers are about to re-enter. MACD remains positive at 0.054 and bullish sentiment has not yet completely subsided.
The price to focus on is $3.70, which was the resistance level encountered in the last rally. If UNI can break through this point, US$4.00 will become the next target. This price has deterred buyers many times this year, so it is a real test.
On the other hand, if prices fall,$3.20 is the first line of support. Below this,$3.00 is the area where the token last found support in June.

UNI Price Forecast: Where may UNI go this week?
The bullish scenario depends on whether buyers can regain the $3.70. If successful, UNI prices could test $4.00, while continued buying driven by agreement fee enablement and governance approvals could extend the rally to $4.20.
In a neutral scenario, UNI prices will trade between $3.20 and $3.70, with traders waiting for the governance vote to end while the broader crypto market looks for direction. This will allow the market to absorb the recent 35% increase without disrupting the overall upward trend.
The bearish scenario starts below $3.20. This will first expose the $3.00 mark, and if the broad market weakness accompanying Bitcoin continues, UNI prices may retest the June support area, around $2.80, before buyers return.
FAQs
Does Uniswap coin have a future?

Yes. Uniswap remains the largest decentralized exchange in the crypto space, and new developments such as agreement fees, token repurchase and destruction, and the launch of Uniswap v4 may enhance its long-term value if adoption rates continue to grow.
Can Uniswap reach US$100?

The probability of reaching US$100 in the short term is very slim, but some long-term forecasts, including Standard Chartered, believe it is possible to reach that level by the end of the decade if DeFi adoption accelerates and Uniswap continues to expand its market share.
