Uniswap's daily fee revenue reaches US$5.2 million
Uniswap (UNI) founder Hayden Adams revealed that the platform's daily fee revenue has exceeded US$5.2 million, while independent verification by DefiLlama shows that the total 24-hour fee is US$5.16 million. This outstanding performance is mainly attributed to Robinhood Chain, which was launched on July 1. The network uses the underlying technology of Arbitrum and uses Uniswap as its main automatic market maker protocol at launch.
Judging from the US$5.16 million fee structure, Robinhood Chain dominates: US$4.38 million of this comes from the network. At the same time, Ethereum only contributed US$296,000 and Base contributed approximately US$288,000.
Latest News: Daily DEX transaction volume on @RobinhoodCryptoChain has increased by about 20 times in the past week, with @Uniswap leading the gains. The composability of FinTech and DeFi is at play.
The Robinhood Chain ecosystem has accumulated transaction volume of US$1 billion in the first nine days of operation. Current data shows that the network serves more than 220,000 active traders every day. According to analysis from Token Terminal, decentralized exchange activity on Robinhood Chain surged 20-fold in just seven days, with Uniswap accounting for the majority of this increase.
In terms of weekly performance, during the seven-day measurement period, Robinhood Chain contributed US$10.98 million to Uniswap, accounting for the majority of its total expense revenue of US$20.1 million. Uniswap's business spans 47 different blockchain networks and processed $2.112 billion in DEX transactions in 24 hours, more than five times the volume of its second-largest competitor, PancakeSwap.
Adams said on the X platform that the agreement's benefits exceed all cryptocurrency projects except USDC and USDT stablecoin issuers. However, it needs to be clear that the fee figure of $5.2 million is different from the actual agreement revenue. DefiLlama data shows that Uniswap's real 24-hour revenue is $73,454, and most of the fees charged are allocated to liquidity providers.
Community Governance Promotion Fee Destruction Proposal
The community governance vote through Snapshot was held from July 7 to July 12 to decide whether to implement a fee and destruction mechanism for v4 pool types. Preliminary vote counting results showed that more than 93% overwhelmingly supported, with a total of 13.9 million UNI tokens voting in favor.
Uniswap will activate the repurchase and destruction mechanism after the agreement fee goes online. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams confirmed that the agreement fee has been activated, the repurchase and destruction of $UNI is about to begin, and a governance vote is currently being held on Robinhood Chain v2/v3 fees, v4 fees, etc.
If the measure is passed, a formal on-chain voting process is expected to take place within a week starting July 13. The plan will trigger fees in three different v4 pool categories in 11 blockchain ecosystems, including Ethereum, Arbitrum and Polygon.
Last month, Uniswap destroyed 186,000 UNI tokens in 24 hours, setting a record. Some liquidity providers are concerned that the implementation of v4 fees may slightly reduce their earnings.
Token Performance and Market Analysis
Market analyst UniChartz pointed out at X that UNI has fallen back into its historical accumulation range, a price area where buying interest continues to emerge. The analyst emphasized that maintaining this level of support would preserve a favorable probability for a price recovery, while recommending being patient and waiting for clear confirmation signals before establishing major positions.
$UNI has once again fallen into the long-term accumulation zone, where buyers have intervened many times in the past. As long as this support level remains, the possibility of recovery remains strong. Patience is the key and wait for confirmation before taking drastic actions. UNI tokens are currently trading at approximately US$3.62, up approximately 35% from the low of US$2.70 set in early July. Despite recent gains, the token is still about 92% below the all-time high of $44.97 set in May 2021.
