Odos, the decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator, has announced that it will completely cease operations. According to the company's announcement, the platform will enter read-only mode on July 27, and by July 30, 2026, all services operated by the company will be permanently closed. Investors who use social login to create wallets are particularly recommended to complete the necessary operations before the specified date.

Why is Odos closed?

An official announcement issued on July 23 stated that the company behind Odos decided to terminate operations. Therefore, the platform's web applications and services provided by the company will be phased out. Odos previously served as a DEX aggregator that was able to find the optimal token exchange path between different decentralized exchanges and liquidity pools. Since the platform does not host user funds, it is completely unmanaged. This allows users to conduct transactions through their own wallets while maintaining control of assets.

According to the company's announced timetable, the platform will be closed in two phases.

July 23: Stop creating new accounts, opening new wallets through Odos, and creating limit orders.

July 27: The platform entered read-only mode. Users can view their wallet balances and transaction history, but cannot perform new redemption operations.

July 30, 2026: All services operated by the company will be completely closed.

After this date, no interaction will be possible through the Odos application. The company particularly emphasizes that there is no risk to user funds. This is because Odos is an unmanaged platform and never holds a user's private key or cryptographic assets, so funds remain directly on the relevant blockchain network.

Warning on creating wallets for social logins

Odos 'most important warning is for investors who use social logins to create wallets. Users who create wallets directly on Odos via Google, Apple, email or similar methods are recommended to complete the following steps by July 30: exporting private keys; transferring assets to another self-managed wallet; and securely backing up wallet access information.

Although the company said it will continue to publish access guidelines after the shutdown, completing the operation early can avoid potential problems. The platform shutdown will not affect the existence of ODOS tokens on the blockchain. The company stated that it is not a token holder or market maker and that the closure only involves company services. In addition, Odos DAO will continue to operate independently, and future decisions will be announced by the DAO.

Evaluation

The cessation of Odos operations means that an important DEX aggregator in the DeFi ecosystem is out of the market. However, thanks to the platform's unmanaged structure, user funds have not been directly affected. There is no significant risk for investors using self-managed wallets such as MetaMask; however, it is crucial for users who create wallets through Odos social login to back up their private keys or transfer assets to other wallets before July 30, 2026.
