Odos will permanently shut down its decentralized exchange aggregation service on July 30, 2026, and its operating company is gradually shutting down.

Summary

Odos disabled redemption on July 27 and subsequently permanently shut down its applications, APIs, support services and development work. Users using social login wallets must transfer assets or export private keys before the company's services disappear completely. ODOS tokens remain on the chain, while the independent DAO has not yet announced its future operating plans.

The company announced the news on social media on July 23, but did not specify the specific reasons for terminating operations. The announcement did not mention the acquirer, bankruptcy filing, security breach or regulatory order as the reasons for the company's decision to cease operations.

Applications, APIs, support services and development work involving Odos are closed this time. Odos stated that "your assets always belong to you and remain on the chain" because the platform does not hold user tokens. However, users who create wallets via social or email login must take action before their access tools disappear.

"To the Odos community: After careful consideration, the operating company behind Odos is winding down operations. Applications will be switched to read-only mode on July 27, and all Odos services will be permanently shut down on July 30, 2026. Odos are unmanaged: your assets always belong to you and remain on the chain. If..."

Odos develops a three-phase shutdown plan

Odos disabled new account registration, new wallet creation and new limit order functions on July 23. Existing users can continue to redeem and close positions until July 27. After that, the application will enter read-only mode, allowing users to view balances and transactions, but unable to initiate new operations.

All company-operated services will be permanently discontinued on July 30. The team said it will no longer provide maintenance, product development or customer support after this. Odos recommends that users migrate to other services before the deadline.

Users connected to an external self-managed wallet do not need to withdraw cash from Odos because the aggregator never controls these assets. The platform's terms of service describe Odos as a routing service used to search for redemption prices on decentralized exchanges and send transactions to third-party agreements rather than holding user tokens.

Social login wallet users need to export access rights

Deadline also applies to users who create a wallet via email or social media login. Odos told these users they had until July 30 to transfer assets to other wallets or export private keys. The company said that after the shutdown, wallet access instructions will be retained on the official page.

Users should complete this process with caution, as a private key or mnemonic gives control of the wallet and anyone who obtains it can transfer assets. Odos warned that token migrations, claim pages, new products or airdrops will not be launched during the shutdown.

The team stated that news of providing such services was fraud. It urges users not to share mnemonic words or sign transactions through links that claim to support Odos migration or restart. Any statement about the ecosystem must come from an independent Odos DAO channel.

ODOS tokens remain independent from DAO

Odos stated that ODOS tokens will continue to exist on the chain after the company closes. According to the announcement, the business does not hold tokens or provide market-making services. Therefore, closing does not automatically change token contracts, balances or transfer rules.

Odos DAO also remains independent of the company. It plans to announce its next move, but the operations team warned users not to view the announcement as a commitment to continued development. When the closure was announced, no DAO transition plan had been released.

Odos launched the DAO and tokenized loyalty program in December 2024. According to previous reports, Binance Alpha included ODOS in a set of tokens that month. The DAO later developed a governance process that allowed community members to submit ideas, receive feedback, and advance eligible proposals to the voting stage.

Closure stems from adjustments after years of multi-chain growth

Semitic Labs developed Odos as a smart order routing system for decentralized finance. The service searches multiple sources of liquidity to find paths for single and multi-token exchanges. Its official website promotes redemption, limit orders, portfolio rebalancing and APIs for wallets, exchanges and institutional users.

Odos previously reported that as of May 2024, cumulative transaction volume exceeded US$25 billion and had 1.9 million wallets. A subsequent community report showed that in the third quarter of 2025, there were more than 147,000 monthly active wallets, more than 100 API partners, 16 chains supported, and more than 1150 liquidity sources.

DefiLlama data reviewed after the announcement showed that Odos 'cumulative aggregator transaction volume was approximately US$102.5 billion, and cumulative agreement revenue was approximately US$8.6 million. Its 30-day aggregator transaction volume was close to $1.58 billion. The data measures historical activity and does not explain why the operating company decided to close.

This closure is another example of the withdrawal of cryptocurrency services in 2026. It was previously reported that DeFi app Legend was shut down because it failed to reach sustainable scale, and Satori Finance ended transaction operations after revenue could not support the business. Yield Guild Games also closed its publishing division and laid off employees.

Odos users currently face shorter schedules. The redemption function will stop on July 27 when read-only mode begins, and all services will end in three days. The company has not announced a buyer, alternative operator or restart plans. The DAO may provide separate guidance, but users should rely only on verified channels.
