ODOS Odos, a well-known decentralized finance (DeFi) aggregator, announced that its platform services will end on July 30, 2026. The decision, announced through social media platforms, marks the end of all Odos business and the platform will switch to read-only mode so that users can prepare for the shutdown.
How will the shutdown proceed?
The shutdown process is divided into three stages. As of July 23, existing users can still exchange tokens and close positions, but new accounts and wallets will not be able to register. This means that platform functionality will be limited to current user groups.
Starting from July 27, the website will switch to read-only mode, allowing users to view transaction history and wallet balances, but no trading activities will be possible at this stage.
How will user assets be handled?
Odos urges users who log in to create wallets through social accounts or email to transfer assets or export private keys by July 30 so they can still access assets after the shutdown. Relevant operating guidelines will be available on the Odos website to help users manage assets after closure.
All users should complete asset transfer or private key export by July 30. Logging in to wallets created through social accounts or email may require additional steps, and Odos will leave instructions to help users in need manage access rights after closure.
The Continuing Part: Tokens and DAOs?
Although Odos will no longer provide services, ODOS tokens will still exist independently on the blockchain and will not be affected by the company's cessation of operations. In addition, Odos DAO, which is responsible for protocol governance, will continue to operate independently and separate from the company.
Odos has proactively alerted the community to potential fraud during this period. This closure will not involve any new product launches, token transfers or airdrops.
Users need to export their private keys before July 30 to ensure asset security. Odos DAO's official communication channel will serve as the only source for any future updates. All existing features will cease on July 30 and there are no future development plans.
As the deadline approached, Odos thanked the community and highlighted various collaborations during its operations. This shutdown is in line with the trend of DeFi platforms gradually terminating services in 2026. Users holding assets on the platform are advised to take necessary measures before the end of July to prevent asset access from being affected.
