Uniswap Earn launches a lending income product based on Morpho Treasury
Uniswap Earn is officially launched, marking the expansion of this decentralized exchange from the trading field to crypto lending products. This feature allows users to deposit USDC, USDT and Ether in a Moro-powered vault. The assets deposited will be lent through the Morpho market, and the interest paid by the borrower will be the income generated by the user.
Uniswap Earn products allow users to participate in automated lending strategies without managing liquidity positions. Users always retain control of assets and can withdraw funds at any time.
Uniswap Earn brings loan revenue to DeFi users
Uniswap Earn products use three Morpho vaults managed by Gauntlet to manage deposits. Morpho, the second-largest decentralized lending agreement, provides the underlying lending infrastructure for the service. Assets deposited in vaults provide liquidity to borrowers through the Morpho market, and the resulting loan interest is the return to depositors.
Anthony Beshay, product manager at Uniswap, said the feature provides users with a simpler way to operate assets, adding that Earn products save the trouble of managing centralized liquidity positions. At the same time, Uniswap emphasized that Earn products are different from its DualPool products: Earn focuses on users seeking borrowing income, while DualPool combines liquidity provision and lending strategies.
The launch comes at a time when regulators are increasingly discussing crypto lending and treasury products. U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Commissioner Hester Peirce recently pointed out that certain crypto vaults and lending strategies may fall within the scope of existing securities laws due to their structure.
Uniswap expands ecosystem with Robinhood Chain
In addition to Uniswap Earn products, the exchange has also added a "Launches" tab to its Web applications. This feature aggregates tokens from launch platforms such as Bankr, Pons and Long.
A beta version of this feature is already available on Robinhood Chain, allowing users to discover new tokens without leaving the Uniswap interface. Uniswap said it will add more network support in the future. The move expands users 'role beyond their role as a trading venue by connecting them to token launch activities.
It is worth noting that Morpho has become a major provider of lending infrastructure to the entire crypto industry. Companies such as Coinbase, Robinhood, Bitwise Asset Management and Société Générale have integrated use of Morpho's products. Moro CEO Paul Frambot said these integrations increase liquidity in the lending market, adding that deeper liquidity could make the agreement more valuable to future partners.
