With BitMine purchasing another 10,399 ETH units, BlackRock launching two tokenized funds on Ethereum, and traders focusing on whether continued buying can push the Ethereum price from US$1,850 to US$2,000, Ethereum-related news has regained focus.
BitMine expands its position with a new ETH purchase
BitMine Immersion Technologies added 10,399 ETH units to its asset reserve last week, and the company said that Ethereum news has attracted attention again. This latest purchase increased its total holdings to 5,797,813 ETH units, worth approximately US$10.9 billion. BitMine said that 4,917,189 ETH have been pledged, which means that approximately 85% of its Ethereum positions are receiving pledge rewards.
The company also holds 209 bitcoins,$173 million in cash and marketable securities, and another $241 million in investments (including Beast Industries and Eightco). The total value of its crypto assets, cash, securities and other investments is approximately US$11.3 billion.

BitMine said it currently holds approximately 4.8% of Ethereum's total supply. To achieve the goal of holding 5% of the total number of Ethereum in circulation, an additional 237,187 ETH units will need to be purchased. The company expects that its pledged ETH will bring in approximately $291 million in pledge rewards each year.
BitMine also said it has been buying Ethereum every week since launching its ETH reserve strategy. Last week, the company bought back 4.5 million shares of BMNR stock. So far, the total share repurchase volume under its US$4 billion repurchase program has reached 16.1 million shares.
The company claims to be the largest corporate owner of Ethereum and the second-largest crypto asset reserve company after MicroStrategy. It has joined the Russell 1000 Large-Cap Index. Its investors include ARK, Founders Fund, Pantera, Kraken, Galaxy Digital, Digital Currency Group, Bill Miller III and Tom Lee. The latest purchase further highlights the trend of companies not only holding Bitcoin, but also beginning to build large amounts of Ethereum reserves.
Ethereum News: BlackRock launches two tokenized funds on Ethereum
BlackRock also launched two tokenized money market funds on the Ethereum network, becoming another highlight of Ethereum news. Its $6.2 billion BlackRock Select Treasury Liquidity Fund (BSTBL) now has a tokenized share category on Ethereum. BNY will serve as transfer agent and tokenization service provider. The second fund, called BRSRV, was launched simultaneously. Securitize will serve as the fund's transfer agent and tokenization service provider.

Both funds invest in cash, short-term U.S. Treasurys and overnight repo agreements backed by Treasurys. BlackRock said that under the GENIUS Act, the funds are expected to meet U.S. requirements to pay reserve assets of stablecoin issuers. BlackRock manages more than US$15 trillion in assets, its cash management business exceeds US$1 trillion, and has managed approximately US$60 billion in stablecoin reserves. The move shows that one of the world's largest financial companies continues to build products on Ethereum.
ETH prices hold support and target US$2,000
Ethereum prices remain above US$1,850, a level that is the focus of close attention for traders. Market commentator Ted Pillows, who has more than 310,000 followers on the X platform, said spot buyers are still active. He believes that if current support levels can be maintained, continued buying could push the market higher. His view is that if Ethereum continues to trade above $1,850, the price is expected to rise to $2,000. Currently, traders will continue to pay attention to buying orders from companies such as BitMine, new products launched by institutions such as BlackRock, and stable demand in the spot market. Whether these factors can support the next trend of Ethereum prices.
These factors are likely to continue to be the focus of Ethereum news in the coming days.
