Although different trends continue to emerge among Bitcoin and altcoin ETFs, there is an altcoin ETF that is receiving close attention from investors. Although HYPE ETF has achieved great success in a very short period of time, its entry momentum has slowed down recently.

Against this background, JPMorgan noted that inflows of ETFs that provide investment opportunities for Hyperliquid's native token HYPE slowed in July and early August. The bank said this showed growing questions among investors about HYPE's future competitiveness.

HYPE ETF slows down

According to analysts at JPMorgan, HYPE ETF showed one of the strongest inflow rates among cryptocurrency ETFs other than Bitcoin during May and June. However, this strong trend began to change in July. In this context, JPMorgan analysts not only emphasized the slowdown in ETF inflows in their report, but also pointed out Hyperliquid's long-term competitiveness. The bank also predicts that decentralized trading platforms like Hyperliquid may face significant challenges in gaining market share in the future.

What HYPE means for investors

JPMorgan analysts believe that slowing HYPE ETF inflows do not mean that institutional investor demand has completely disappeared. However, the strong momentum seen in May and June failed to carry over into July and early August, which may indicate that investors have become more cautious about Hyperliquid. Therefore, the bank believes that whether HYPE ETF inflows can accelerate again in the future will become an important indicator to measure the market's concern about Hyperliquid's competitiveness.
