TLDR: Plume announces joining the DTCC Working Group. DTCC tokenization service will be launched soon. Plume joins the DTCC Digital Asset Solutions Working Group with Charles Schwab, Nasdaq and Alpaca. DTCC provides custody and asset services to more than US$114 trillion in assets worldwide. DTC plans to conduct limited production transactions in July 2026 and fully launch services in October 2026. Plume became a transfer agent registered with the SEC in October 2025 and is responsible for managing shareholder records.

Plume has joined the DTCC Digital Asset Solutions Industry Working Group, marking a new step in its institutional collaboration. The blockchain network became members of the working group along with Charles Schwab, Nasdaq and Alpaca. Plume will provide technical feedback for DTCC tokenization services. The announcement puts Plume in a coalition of established financial institutions that are working together on the development of tokenized securities.

Plume announced his joining the DTCC working group

Plume publicly issued a post confirming his membership through his official account. The company said it has joined the American Depository, Trust and Clearing Corporation's Digital Asset Solutions Industry Working Group. Plume listed Charles Schwab, Alpaca and Nasdaq as other members of the working group. Plume described the alliance as a platform for ongoing dialogue on digital asset adoption.

The working group was established to collect feedback on DTCC tokenization services and also to support the wider use of digital assets in financial markets. DTCC provides custody and asset services to more than US$114 trillion in assets worldwide, a scale that makes it the world's leading provider of post-transaction infrastructure.

Plume said in the announcement: "We look forward to contributing to this initiative." The company added that it plans to apply its compliance expertise to the work of the working group. Plume pointed out that security partners scan each transaction at the sorter level before it is linked. Plume also mentioned its SEC-registered transfer agent, the Kimber Transfer Agency, which maintains official ownership records of tokenized securities.

More than 50 financial institutions from traditional and digital markets have joined the DTCC Industry Working Group. Plume's addition brings with it a blockchain built specifically for the tokenization of real-world assets. Plume Network aims to bring these assets into the decentralized financial landscape while meeting compliance standards. Relevant reports pointed out that the working group is "actively shaping the settlement methods of tokenized securities in traditional market infrastructure."

DTCC tokenization service will be launched soon

DTCC plans to launch initial limited production transactions of tokenized real-world assets in July 2026 and fully launch tokenized services in October 2026. Plume joined the working group as the plans were in the advancement stage. The service is based on a no-action letter that DTCC obtained from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in December 2025. The letter authorizes DTCC to provide specific tokenization services to its participants and their customers for a period of three years.

DTCC's approach increases blockchain-based liquidity while retaining the existing legal structure of securities. Investors 'rights, legal protection and ownership rights continue into the form of tokenization. The framework also aims to address settlement frictions and insufficient asset liquidity in institutional markets. The ability to move atomically, rather than requiring a one-to-two day cycle, reduces the need for time buffers.

Before Plume joined the working group, the company had taken corresponding regulatory measures. In October 2025, Plume became one of the first blockchain native entities to be registered as a transfer agent by the SEC. The registration allows Plume to manage shareholder records and report equity structure statements directly to the SEC and DTCC. The role of the DTCC working group builds on this basis to further consolidate the connection between Plume's tokenization channel and existing post-transaction infrastructure.
