If you are following the price movements of Ethereum (ETH) and are surprised by its recent lack of significant changes, this is normal. Currently, ETH is trading at approximately US$1,920, about 60% lower than its peak near US$4,800 at the end of 2025. Interestingly, the Internet itself tells a completely different story.
The use of Ethereum far exceeds many people's imagination.
A strong indicator is transaction volume: Ethereum processes more than 20 million transactions per week, which is even higher than the network processing volume at multiple points during the bull market in 2021.
Another noteworthy chart shared by Tanaka tracks USDC and USDT activity on Ethereum. The total supply of stablecoins remains at around US$165 billion to US$167 billion. Yes, it was close to a peak of $190 billion at the end of 2025, but liquidity has now fallen back from that level. However, the Ethereum network is still one of the largest settlement layers for the US dollar on the chain.
If you are not optimistic enough about ETH, you may wish to look at Ethereum through the following four charts: [1] Weekly trading volume recently exceeded 20 million, indicating that Ethereum usage is still close to historical highs. [2]The supply of stablecoins is still around US$167 billion, making Ethereum the largest...
This is still an impressive injection of money into the network. Many people have noticed that the dollar value of pledged ETH has dropped from more than $170 billion to between $75 billion and $80 billion. This may sound like a negative, but a closer look at the details reveals that it is not the case.
The fact is that the decline was due to the decline in the value of ETH itself, rather than the release of pledge activity. This means that the pledge rate is quite high, and most of the circulating supply is still locked in the security of the network.
ETH chart signal catches traders 'attention
Ali Martinez's monthly chart for Ethereum may be the most interesting of the four charts. Around the current ETH price of around US$1,919, a TD Sequential "9" buy signal appeared. The last time this signal appeared on the monthly chart was near the bottom of the bear market in 2022-2023, Ethereum has since gained approximately 236% from the region.
There was also an A13 exhaustion signal near current levels, which technical analysts often interpret as evidence that a long-term decline may be about to run out of steam. No indicator guarantees another 236% rise, but this is not a frequent signal.
One number may determine the next step for Ethereum.
Ethereum's on-chain balance distribution shows that the tracking balance is approximately US$167.13 billion, with centralized exchanges holding approximately US$65.37 billion, accounting for approximately 39% of the total. This can be viewed from two perspectives: it represents both potential selling pressure and funds that could flow quickly into DeFi, pledged or long-term storage if market sentiment improves.
Currently, Ethereum looks more like a market waiting for a catalyst than a market in panic. Trading activity is strong, the liquidity of stablecoins remains huge, and pledges continue to lock in a considerable portion of supply.
In order to build bullish momentum, Ethereum must recover the $2,000 to $2,100 range with higher participation. If the monthly level falls below the larger range of $1,500 to $1,600, it may significantly weaken the overall pattern.
The key conclusion is simple: ETH prices have been under pressure, but Ethereum's core network indicators have not. This disconnect is why many long-term investors pay close attention to the region.
Frequently Asked Questions
Whether Ethereum Pledges Declines The dollar value of pledged ETH has declined due to the decline in ETH price, but the proportion of pledged ETH is still high. This means that a large amount of supply is still locked in cybersecurity.
How far is Ethereum from its all-time high? Ethereum's peak at the end of 2025 is close to US$4,800, so the current price is about 60% below that high.
