Solana is now online on the XRP ledger decentralized exchange, and Axelar has confirmed as the only Wrapped SOL issuer
Hussein Zangana, Community Director of the XRP ledger Foundation, confirmed that Solana (SOL) is now available for access and trading on the XRP ledger decentralized exchange. Zangana shared the update, marking a new stage in interoperability between mainstream blockchain networks. The Wrapped SOL token issued by Axelar is the core foundation of this integration.
Extended cross-chain access to
Native decentralized exchanges (DEX) for XRP ledgers now allow users to acquire and redeem Solana through multiple XRPL-based platforms, including XPMarket, First Ledger, and Magnetic. Holders can also directly redeem SOL in Xaman Wallet using the integrated Swap component.
This development follows the rise of cross-chain bridges since 2025, and blockchain developers are exploring new ways to improve the portability of assets across ecosystems. Solana's integration into the XRPL environment heralds broader industry trends, with previous important milestones including the launch of XRP on Solana earlier this year.
Previous steps in wXRP
In April this year, Hex Trust released Wrapped XRP (wXRP) on Solana, extending its reach to decentralized financial applications such as Jupiter, Phantom, Titan Exchange and Meteora. Through Solana, Optimism, Ethereum, and HyperEVM, wXRP can be traded with RLUSD and circulated on multiple blockchains.
The recent addition of Solana to XRPL DEX is an important step in cross-chain interoperability. Traditional markets have long relied on sophisticated brokers, but now a clear transition to Web3 is underway. Platforms such as 1stepSwap allow investors to hold stocks, gold and silver of major U.S. companies directly in their crypto wallets. By tokenizing real-world assets and instantly finding the best prices, these services eliminate intermediation in the transaction process.
Fraud Risk and Verification Steps
While issuing the announcement, Zangana urged the XRP community to pay attention to the authenticity of the tokens. Currently, Axelar is the only legal publisher of Wrapped SOL on XRPL. He advised users to verify the authenticity of tokens before conducting transactions, and emphasized that as this new integration is promoted, there may be a risk of counterfeit tokens.
Support platforms including XPMarket, First Ledger, Magnetic and Xaman Wallet have implemented check-mark systems for Wrapped SOL. This verification is visible on tools such as XRPScan, showing Axelar Bridge as the publisher and with a checkmark to indicate authenticity.
Axelar Bridge with checkmarks allows users to easily identify real Wrapped SOL tokens on XRPL and avoid confusion with counterfeit tokens that lack this verification. Experts emphasize that users should not rely solely on token names or codes. Before undertaking any transaction, it is highly recommended to carefully check the issuer's address and cross-verify it with reliable sources. This extra caution is designed to reduce the risk of falling into the counterfeit token trap.
