Ripple and Cardano: Who can recover faster before 2027?
Ripple (XRP) and Cardano (ADA) are both under pressure, but their charts are starting to show different trends. XRP prices are holding close to the key $1.00 mark, with multiple indicators showing signs of improving momentum. ADA prices are in a more difficult situation, with the downward trend still intact and there are few signs of bottoming out. So, looking forward to 2027, which one will recover faster? Based on current data, XRP seems to have a stronger trend structure.
XRP is showing early bottoming signals
We looked at the XRP chart and US$1.00 is obviously a key price that bulls need to defend. XRP prices are currently around $1.0015, after falling back from around $1.35 in late May or early June. The overall structure is still short, but multiple indicators are starting to move in a more positive direction.

The relative strength indicator (RSI) of the XRP is 41.10, and the chart has generated multiple bullish divergence signals. Prices are hitting lower highs, but the RSI is forming higher lows. This suggests selling pressure is weakening. The Ultimate Oscillator is another positive signal, reading 52.47, above the 50th axis, indicating that XRP has stronger kinetic energy than several other altcoins we track.

Market value data also supports this view. XRP's market value remains roughly between $62.5 billion and $65 billion, keeping its price stable in the $1.00 to $1.04 region. If it breaks through US$1.05, it may open up space for a rise to US$1.10 to US$1.15.
ADA still has more work to do
ADA prices are facing a more difficult trend structure. ADA is currently trading at around $0.1775, having previously fallen from around $0.26, and its structure of lower highs and lower lows remains intact. We looked at the ADA chart and the most worrying thing was the lack of bullish reversal signals.

Its final oscillator reading is 39.76, well below 50, indicating that the seller still holds control over multiple time frames. The RSI divergence indicator also generated bearish signals, and there are no bullish deviations at present. This means there is currently little technical evidence that selling pressure has been exhausted. ADA's market value fluctuates between $6.7 billion and $7.4 billion, with the latest range of approximately $7 billion to $7.2 billion.

If the ADA price falls below US$0.16, the next major support area will be around US$0.14 to US$0.12. For the bulls to regain control of the situation, the ADA needs to recover $0.18, accompanied by strong trading volume exceeding $0.20.
XRP has a more direct catalyst than ADA
Fundamentals also give XRP advantages. Regulatory clarity may play an important role in the recovery of XRP. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission case has an important status reporting deadline of August 15, 2026, and a final resolution could remove one of the biggest uncertainties weighing on XRP prices. Institutional demand is another potential catalyst. According to reports, spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded net inflows of more than US$1 billion in the first month of 2025. Ripple's efforts to seek a U.S. bank license could also increase the token's role in institutional financial infrastructure.
Cardano also has catalysts. Dijkstra upgrades are planned from the end of 2026 to the second quarter of 2027, with Linear Leios, Nested Transactions and Peras aiming to improve network scalability. The market is also interested in ADA ETFs, with multiple applications still in progress, and the SEC's decision window is expected to be around October 23, 2026.
The problem is that Cardano's ecosystem indicators are still weak. Although the giant whale has accumulated more than 30 million ADAs in a week, its DeFi total locked value (TVL) has dropped approximately 87% from its peak to approximately $94 million.
XRP has an advantage in faster recovery
Current data is favorable for XRP. The XRP price is holding on to the $1.00 mark, its RSI shows a bullish divergence and the ultimate oscillator is above 50. Its market value is also far more stable than ADA, indicating stronger liquidity and support. If the ADA's fundamentals and technical structure improve, it could bring a larger percentage of price volatility, but it first needs to prove that the downtrend is over.
For now, XRP is more likely to recover faster before 2027. A breakthrough of $1.05 will strengthen this judgment, and $1.10 to $1.15 will become the next area to pay attention. For the ADA, recovering $0.20 would be an important first step in changing the current bearish outlook.
FAQs
Is it still possible for Cardano to surpass Ripple before 2027?
Possibly. If its network upgrades, ETF prospects and on-chain activity improve, ADA could achieve a larger percentage of recovery. However, ADA prices first need to establish a bottom and break through key resistance levels.
Does XRP guarantee faster recovery than ADA?
No guarantee. Current data does give XRP a stronger trend structure, but cryptocurrency prices remain highly sensitive to Bitcoin movements, liquidity conditions and market sentiment. A break below $1.00 may also partially invalidate the bullish technical side of XRP.
