FollowingDefiLama delayed launch of its mobile app after spending months trying to get Apple to remove phishing apps posing as the analytics provider from its app store, according to 0xngmi, founder of the analytics platform pseudonym. [TAG

Fake apps posing as major cryptocurrency brands have previously appeared in the App Store, including apps posing as Rabby Wallet and Curve Finance in 2024. In November 2023, a fake Ledger Live app in the Microsoft store resulted in the theft of a total of $588,000 in 38 transactions.
