The RWA holder base continues to expand
The number of real asset (RWA) holders of Plume Network has exceeded 260,000, marking that the migration of private equity and real assets to blockchain is steadily accelerating. The number reflects the network's growing appeal to retail and institutional participants-who are being attracted by on-chain alternatives to traditional finance.
This milestone is part of Plume's overall upward trend. According to Plume's updated data for the first quarter of 2026, the total number of RWA wallet holders in the network increased from approximately 577,000 to 714,000 in the first quarter of 2026, a 23.8% increase in a single quarter. The number of 260,000 RWA holders mentioned here reflects an early point in the growth curve, further highlighting the speed at which the user base is expanding.
Physical asset tokenization increased by 260% in the first half of 2025, from US$8.6 billion to more than US$23 billion, providing a strong boost to private networks such as Plume. Institutions such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and Apollo are all deploying tokenized fund products, and Plume is also actively positioning to seize the opportunity of capital inflows from this institution.
Modular infrastructure for tokenized assets
Plume Network is a modular Ethereum Layer 2 network built specifically for RWA tokenization that integrates the publishing engine, data layer and compliance primitives into the same execution environment. Unlike most general-purpose second-layer networks that view RWA as just one of many verticals, Plume uses RWA as a core product category and designs the on-chain architecture around the processes that institutional issuers have used offline (including subscriptions, transfer agency records, qualified investors) verification and regular reporting).
Plume supports the use of tokenized assets such as private equity, ETFs and commodities in the DeFi ecosystem. Its compliance structure is designed to reduce the cost of friction for agencies. Plume's built-in KYC/AML solution simplifies the compliance process by automating identity verification and transaction monitoring, giving asset managers more confidence when bringing regulated products into the chain.
Plume quickly established institutional credibility in terms of partnerships. In October 2025, Plume acquired Dinero to strengthen the RWA expansion of ETH/SOL/BTC, and partnered with Centrfuge to complete the first mainnetwork deployment of Centrfuge V3. The project also became a transfer agent registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, an important U.S. regulatory milestone; Plume also engaged in policy communication with the U.S. Senate, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of the Treasury, and financial regulators in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Currently, the network is expanding its modular two-tier architecture to support high-frequency trading in tokenized real estate and alternative income products-areas where on-chain infrastructure has long lagged behind institutional needs. At the end of the first quarter of 2026, Plume had a total lockup value of US$340 million and continued to lead the RWA track in terms of the number of holders, surpassing the larger universal public chains including Solana and Ethereum.
