Ondo Finance officially launched the interest-bearing token USDY on BNB Chain
Ondo Finance has officially launched its interest-bearing token USDY in the BNB Chain wallet, expanding the token's multi-chain footprint to one of the largest blockchain ecosystems in the world.
Treasury bond yield uplink
USDY provides dollar-denominated income, with underlying assets being short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, government securities funds and cash instruments.
With USDY now implementing native support on BNB Chain, users can directly obtain the benefits backed by U.S. Treasurys without having to go through cross-chain bridges. This removes a major obstacle that has previously prevented retail investors from participating in tokenizing real-world assets.
This launch introduces USDY's instant casting and redemption function for the first time, allowing users to create or redeem the token without having to go through the previous waiting period. Access rights do not require permission, but are limited to eligible non-U.S. individuals and institutions.
Huge and active ecosystem
BNB Chain has one of the world's largest DeFi user bases, covering hundreds of millions of wallet addresses, billions of dollars in daily transaction volume, and a thriving ecosystem of decentralized exchanges, AI agents, lending protocols and consumer applications. This integration gives USDY immediate access to the network.
This deployment connects USDY's daily revenue accumulation with BNB Chain's growing ecosystem of AI agents. This is a perspective worthy of attention: autonomous chain intelligence is reflected in the ability to directly hold and trade an interest-bearing dollar asset without manual intervention.
Users can access USDY through platforms such as PancakeSwap, 1inch, Ledger, LI.FI, CoW Swap, Trust Wallet, and LayerZero. Developers can integrate USDY into BNB Chain's lending markets, trading products, liquidity pools, treasury management systems and revenue strategies.
This move continues USDY's expansion strategy on multiple blockchains. Ondo said the strategy aims to strengthen the token's role as a building block of real-world assets in DeFi. Currently, USDY's annualized rate of return is 4.65%, and its total supply reaches US$740 million, covering networks such as Ethereum, Solana, Mantle, Sui and Aptos, and the launch of BNB Chain has added another important network to it.
