Aptos daily trading volume exceeded 11.7 million
Aptos daily trading volume hit a record high of 11.7 million, an increase of 6.5% from the record set just 24 hours ago. The two consecutive days of peak values indicate that network demand is not a temporary explosion, but part of the continued upward trend of chain activity.
This milestone is in line with the macro pattern of accelerating growth in 2026. At the beginning of April this year, Aptos processed approximately 5 million to 6 million transactions per day; at the beginning of May, it increased to more than 15 million; since then, daily activity has stabilized at 9 million to 12 million transactions, forming a new baseline. The 11.7 million data reported on August 21 is a further step forward.
Architecture built for high loads
These numbers reflect its underlying infrastructure designed for high throughput. Aptos is a first-level blockchain designed to achieve high transaction throughput and low fees, supporting a variety of applications from DeFi and payments to real-world asset tokenization, all running on a single network. The network has a theoretical upper limit of 160,000 transactions per second, one of the highest publicly disclosed capacities in mainstream blockchains.
This capacity is largely due to Aptos 'parallel execution engine. The dynamic parallelism mechanism implemented through BlockSTM ensures concurrent processing of transactions and significantly improves execution throughput. In December 2025, the main network block time has dropped below 50 milliseconds, making Aptos the fastest mainstream first-layer blockchain calculated by block speed.
The growth in transaction volume is also in sync with the development of the broader ecosystem. Aptos currently has 1200 active developers in 134 GitHub repositories, with a cumulative code submission of 54,120, and a GitHub star count of 9,866-these numbers reflect continuous ecological construction rather than the results of a few isolated projects.
As daily trading volumes continue to hit new highs and network infrastructure is able to carry loads far beyond current levels, Aptos appears to be building lasting momentum rather than chasing short-term fluctuations.
