ether.fi, a leading online digital bank in digital asset management, has chosen Nexus Mutual to provide the largest ETH forfeiture insurance in history

This insurance provides ether.fi's verification node with forfeiture and loss protection of up to 15,000 ETH. With the rapid popularity of ether.fi among retail and institutional users, providing users with industry-leading forfeiture risk protection has become crucial. Over the past year, ether.fi has continued to strengthen its technology stack in infrastructure, risk management, operational security and real-time defense systems.

Since ether.fi runs one of the largest verification node clusters on Ethereum, the risk of forfeiture is the real tail risk it faces. By partnering with Nexus Mutual, ether.fi effectively hedges this risk through an insurance mechanism to ensure protection in the event of losses on the verification node. The insurance scheme is designed to cover risks in the most extreme circumstances, and the amount of protection exceeds the combined amount of all forfeitures and losses in Ethereum's history.

Mike Silagadze, founder and CEO of ether.fi, said: "We always believe that the safest protocol will ultimately win. That's why we have invested a lot of resources in auditing, operational security, pledge architecture, and today's largest insurance plan in the industry. I'm excited to work with Nexus Mutual to turn this vision into reality."

Hugh Karp, founder of Nexus Mutual, said: "We met the team at ether.fi before it was launched, and they took risk very seriously from the beginning. Providing users with forfeiture and loss protection of up to 15,000 ETH is a historic step, and we are proud that they have chosen to take this step with Nexus Mutual."
