Coinbase launches direct pledge service for SUI

Direct rewards without third-party

Coinbase has officially launched native pledge support for SUI, so users can receive agreement-level rewards without leaving the trading interface. This integration eliminates the need to manually delegate verification nodes or use external hosting solutions, and rewards will be automatically credited directly to user accounts.

According to Coinbase's SUI pledge page, approximately 2.9 billion SUI tokens are currently pledged on the platform, with a pledged market value of approximately US$2.3 billion. This number reflects the scale of demand that was already in place before native integration.

Underlying protocol operation mechanism

Sui uses a Proof-of-Interest (DPoS) consensus mechanism, and the voting rights of verification nodes are determined by the number of pledges entrusted to them by SUI holders. Rewards are accumulated after each epoch (approximately 24 hours), and the standard estimated annualized rate of return is approximately 3.25%, but the specific value will change with verification node performance and network conditions.

Growth Network Behind Integration

Coinbase launches this feature at a time when Sui Networks continues to expand. Before the launch of native stablecoins in March 2026, Sui Network had processed more than US$1 trillion in stablecoin transfers, and the monthly transaction volume in January 2026 alone reached US$111 billion. According to CoinMarketCap data, the total transaction volume of the network has exceeded 4.5 billion. As of late July 2026, the average daily active wallet number reached 1.2 million.

Since the launch of Sui's main network, Coinbase has maintained close cooperation with the Sui Foundation, participating in the incentive test network and jointly designing protocols. The exchange's cloud infrastructure manages node complexity and creates a delegation process for end users, providing a secure way to obtain protocol rewards.

By integrating this infrastructure directly into retail transaction products, Coinbase further lowers the threshold for users holding SUI tokens to earn revenue, eliminating the need to configure their own wallets or choose verification nodes.
