CLARITY Act: What happens next? Write it down.

The U.S. cryptocurrency industry is paying increasing anxiety to the CLARITY Act. Well-known cryptocurrency commentator Digital Asset Investor believes the bill will pass.

Ethics disputes between Senate Democrats and the White House have delayed the bill's vote in Congress. There are only more than two weeks left before the bill becomes law, and the pressure is increasing. But not everyone expects a deadlock.

Will Trump agree to their conditions?

Digital Asset Investor predicts that Trump will ask Senate Democrats to make all moral requirements in writing and agree to them all. Restrictions on Trump personally do not automatically extend to family members or trust funds he does not control.

As Digital Asset Investor said,"Just because he cannot trade cryptocurrencies, it doesn't mean his family members face the same restrictions." In his view, there is a practical upper limit to moral concessions.

He also questioned the sincerity of the moral opposition. Nancy Pelosi's return on investment over the years surpassed Warren Buffett and the S & P 500, but the same senators who are now blocking the CLARITY Act did not undergo similar scrutiny at the time. He believes the bill's passage is a national security issue that will ultimately be resolved regardless of current opposition.

XRP and Infrastructure Argument

In addition to the legislative timeline, Digital Asset Investor also discussed XRP's position in the digital asset space. He cited a video clip from the CEO of Ripple partner Wormhole that pointed out that RLUSD circulation has exceeded $1 billion and that Ripple's financial situation gives it the opportunity to compete with existing giants in the stablecoin space.

He also played a comment from a Ripple executive who explained the design philosophy of the XRP ledger. The executive described that the ledger is specifically designed for payments and institutional use, with built-in functions such as custody, decentralized exchanges and compliance tools that can be achieved without the need for smart contracts.

DTCC contact

He also highlighted reports that DTCC (American Securities Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation) handles approximately US$4 trillion in settlement volume every year, but the agency said no single blockchain can handle such a large transaction volume. The head of DTCC digital assets confirmed that the organization is working with projects such as Canton and Stellar. Digital Asset Investor pointed out that Ripple is also one of these partners.

His more important point is that Ripple's institutional relationship is not accidental. Being able to sit with a central bank governor and the International Monetary Fund is not something an ordinary start-up can do. He called Ripple "almost like an existing giant in disguise" because of these relationships.
