CCIP Growth and Total Value Lock-in

In the second quarter of 2026, the total value Lock-in reached US$110 billion. More than $7 billion in cross-chain token value migrated to CCIP during the quarter, driven by the market's preference for secure default interoperability infrastructure. At the same time, CCIP's quarterly transaction volume reached US$4.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 353%. Many protocols have abandoned their original bridging solutions and turned to CCIP as their exclusive cross-chain infrastructure. This trend continued the strong performance of the first quarter, when CCIP's transfer volume achieved a year-on-year increase of 319% and a month-on-month increase of 78%. Second-quarter data suggests growth is accelerating rather than slowing.

Traditional financial integration becomes the core

The more far-reaching story takes place in the traditional financial field. On May 12, 2026, the American Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) selected the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) to support its collateral application chain. The application chain, scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2026, will manage real-time collateral operations, covering the pricing, valuation, margin and settlement processes of tokenized assets across multiple blockchains.

There is also the "Pangu Project". Chainlink and the Multinational Banking Alliance launched the project, which aims to redefine the international foreign exchange market. The project brings together more than 50 banks, representing more than US$10 trillion in assets, and enables cross-border T+0 atomic settlement through Chainlink, ISO 20022 messaging standards and existing Swift infrastructure. Banks interact with the system through their existing Swift payment infrastructure, and instructions are routed through the Chainlink runtime environment to convert ISO 20022 messages into on-chain settlement operations, eliminating the need for institutions to rebuild internal systems.

Chainlink's data standards have also been launched on the AWS Marketplace, further expanding its influence in enterprise cloud infrastructure. These achievements have pushed Chainlink's total value lock to US$110 billion and placed it fourth on the Fortune Crypto 100 Top Blockchain and Protocols list.

Oracles were once regarded as the underlying infrastructure in the cryptocurrency space. And quarterly performances like this show that they are becoming the link between traditional finance and the blockchain world.
