HYPE token prices are under pressure, ETF capital outflows focus on key support levels

This week, HYPE, the native token of decentralized exchange agreement Hyperliquid, continued to be under pressure, market signals were mixed, and spot ETF capital inflows decreased, influencing investor sentiment. On Friday, July 24, 2026, the key test of technical support became the core of market participants 'attention, as they tried to find clues about future price movements.

Price Trend and Technical Points

As of Friday, Hyperliquid (HYPE) was trading at US$58.78, a daily decline of 0.67%. In the past 24 hours, trading volume fell 11.26% to $343.39 million. CoinMarketCap data shows that HYPE has dropped 3% in value in the past week.

Market analyst Crypto Patel pointed out that HYPE's current price trend is similar to the so-called "institutional pattern" that emerged before the last time it hit a record high. Although some traders saw the correction as a sign of weakness, Patel believes it is more likely a search for market liquidity than a true trend reversal.

Patel observed that HYPE's weekly chart continues to show higher highs and higher lows, indicating that the bull structure remains intact. He described the current correction as a "liquidity reset" rather than a shift to a long-term bearish trend.

The analyst further pointed out that there is a fair value gap between $47 and $54 based on the weekly price range. At the same time, a long order block was observed in the $38 to $43 region, coinciding with the 0.382 and 0.5 Fibonacci retracement levels. Patel believes buyers must hold these areas to re-establish bullish momentum and are expected to hit new highs. If the token achieves a breakthrough, under favorable conditions,$150 is a feasible long-term target price.

There is a clear failure point in the current technical form. Patel warned that if HYPE closes below the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level ($34) on the weekly chart, it could trigger a broader bearish outlook and invalidate current analytical scenarios.

Spot ETF Data and Trading Flow

On-chain analysis platform SoSoValue reported that HYPE Spot ETF recorded a single-day net outflow of US$1.02 million on July 23, reducing the cumulative net inflow to US$299.62 million. After that day, the ETF's total net asset value was $294.15 million. There were no net inflows or outflows recorded on July 22, and cumulative funds remained at US$300.64 million.

There were several days of net outflows earlier this week: US$698.04 million on July 21 and US$5.45 million on July 17. ETF trading flows suggest that short-term interest in HYPE may be weakening.

Specific data are as follows:

July 23: Daily net outflow of US$1.02 million, cumulative net inflow of US$299.62 million

July 22: Daily net flow of 0, cumulative net inflow of US$300.64 million

July 21: Daily net outflow of US$698.04 million, and cumulative net inflow of US$301.34 million

July 17: Daily net outflow of US$5.45 million

Hyperliquid is committed to developing decentralized financial transaction infrastructure. After the launch of its spot ETF, attention has increased in recent months. The product allows traditional investors to gain exposure to HYPE tokens through regulated investment channels.

Dictionary: A spot ETF (exchange-traded fund) is an investment fund that is listed and traded on an exchange that aims to track the price of the underlying asset. In the case of HYPE, investors can invest without directly purchasing or holding tokens.

Momentum Indicators and Outlook

Technical data from TradingView shows that HYPE's Relative Strength Index (RSI) is 40.41 and its daily moving average is 44.49. Both keep the RSI below the neutral level of 50 but above the oversold benchmark of 30, indicating cautious trader sentiment.

The moving average convergence and divergence indicator (MACD) also points to negative kinetic energy. The MACD line is-1.785, which lags behind the signal line-0.981. The bar chart value is-0.804, confirming the continued bearish trend of HYPE's short-term price trend.

The combined effect of reduced spot ETF inflows, declining trading volume and technical warning signals has put HYPE at a critical juncture. Market participants are paying close attention to the identified support levels for clues as to the next direction of the token.
