Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced on Monday that its Ethereum held 5.79 million ETH, accounting for approximately 4.8% of the total supply of the cryptocurrency. The company has increased its holdings of nearly 10,000 ETH units in the past week through its latest purchase transaction.
Pledge business-driven revenue
Bitmine reported that of its 5.79 million ETH reserves, approximately 4.9 million ETH (accounting for approximately 85% of total positions) are currently locked in pledge verification node operations. This strategy allows Bitmine to extract revenue from its assets through the Ethereum network's proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.
The company expects that once all Ethereum is deployed to Bitmine's internal pledge infrastructure and external partner verification nodes, the annualized pledge reward is expected to reach US$299 million.
Bitmine disclosed that as of July 26, its total holdings of cryptocurrencies, cash and marketable securities had reached US$11.8 billion.

Company Chairman Tom Lee pointed out that the ETH/BTC ratio hit a three-month high, indicating that the market's buying interest in Ethereum has renewed and its momentum relative to Bitcoin has increased.

Bitmine currently operates the largest Ethereum treasury among listed companies, ranking first in terms of total currencies, and second only to Strategy in terms of the dollar value of digital assets. Strategy remains a significant holder of corporate cryptocurrencies, but has recently suspended new Bitcoin purchases.
On Monday, Strategy announced it had raised $544.5 million through stock sales, repurchased $25 million of STRC preferred stock and increased its dollar reserves to $3.75 billion. The company maintained its Bitcoin position at 843,775 BTC.
