XDAO Ecological Development: From hackathon ideas to Web3 infrastructure
XDAO recently shared its complete development history-from a small experiment on BNB Chain to a cross-chain ecosystem covering more than 45 blockchains today. This article will take you through the project's own narrative to understand what the new XDAO token actually connects and why it exists in the broader XDAO ecosystem.
If you have followed our previous reports on XDAO airdrops, token economics, and the XDAO roadmap, this article will fill in the missing link: the origin story and vision that connects everything together. Understanding XDAO's vision from day one will make it easier for you to understand the role tokens play in the broader XDAO ecosystem.
How it all started
Five years ago, XDAO started as a non-commercial experiment. The idea is simple: Let anyone on earth create and manage their own digital autonomous organization (DAO).
There are no lawyers, no offices, and no special permission is required.
The first version was released on BNB Chain. Won the Binance hackathon Award almost immediately. This early victory sends an important signal-the idea is alive, in need, and worth building further.
Growing in Web3
Since its first release, XDAO has steadily expanded. The project grows with some of the largest Web3 ecosystems, including BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and dozens of other EVM-compliant networks.
At TON, the team launched the largest educational event in its history. Through this activity alone, more than 12 million people learned the basics of DAO.
For a project that started as a small hackathon project, such coverage is not common.
The numbers behind the five-year growth
Five years have passed, and the results are self-evident:
More than 32,000 organizations have been created on the platform
The community has raised more than US$55 million through smart contracts
XDAO is now deployed and running on more than 45 blockchains
These are not predictions. They are the actual results of a platform that has been working well since 2021.

This growth also explains why token economic models are so important for future development. A network that already runs on more than 45 chains requires a token structure that can support real, existing usage scenarios, not just speculative transactions.
Free from day one and still free today
Here's a detail worth emphasizing: the core EVM smart contract will be available for free in 2021. Today they are still completely free.
This consistency is important. Many encryption projects change their model after gaining attention. And XDAO's core infrastructure has never changed.
New Chapter: Solana and the U.S. Legal Foundations
It is now building products for Solana, supplemented by the complete U.S. legal framework. The entity is incorporated in Delaware.
This is a meaningful shift. The shift from purely on-chain code-based governance to structures with a true legal foundation opens the door to another class of users-those who require organization-level compliance rather than just smart contracts.
This expansion is also closely aligned with the XDAO roadmap shared earlier this year. Both the Solana integration and the establishment of a U.S. legal entity have been marked as milestones in transforming the project from a DAO creation tool to a complete financial infrastructure layer.
Built for a new type of organization
XDAO describes the next phase as a new type of infrastructure. Organizations on the platform will not only be run by humans.
They will also be operated by AI agents that strictly follow the authority limits set by the owners. These agents operate within on-chain limits and never make any decisions without human confirmation.
This is a noteworthy design choice. It positions XDAO as not just a DAO tool, but also an infrastructure for human-computer collaboration governance.
Why choose both Solana and Delaware
Solana brings speed and institutional readiness. Delaware provides the legal basis needed to work with funds, family offices and investment consortiums.
Together, these two form the basis for a new phase of growth-a phase XDAO says will go far beyond DeFi.
Security comes first
Before discussing the token itself, it solves a more fundamental issue: security.
The platform has passed dozens of independent audits. The review came from well-known institutions in the industry, including Quantstamp and CertiK.
Additional levels of review have been added this year. XDAO's EVM infrastructure was reviewed by the Anthropic based Mythos AI model and Trail of Bits team as part of a project called Glasswing.
No serious vulnerabilities were found in the core of the protocol.
XDAO token: A key to the entire ecosystem
In order to unify more than 45 EVM networks, TON, and Solana into one system, it needs one thing: a key.
This key is the new cross-chain XDAO token. It provides users with a unified balance that can be used on all supported networks.
Here is how to access it in the future: The interface (including the front end of free EVM products) will be open only to token holders. Smart contracts themselves remain open and free, but require tokens to activate applications used to create and manage organizations.
What token holders actually get?
Holding a token unlocks three specific benefits:
Activation and access. This token is required to create and launch a DAO on any supported network.
Reputation and visibility. An organization's balance affects its ranking and visibility in the ecosystem.
Better conditions. Holders can enjoy lower fees and priority access throughout the platform.
This structure gives true utility to the token, rather than treating it as a purely speculative asset superimposed on an existing product.
A brief explanation of community visits
XDAO has previously carried out large-scale educational activities, and participating community members have also been paying attention to the project's independent airdrop activities. The event has its own eligibility rules and timetable, which we have detailed in the XDAO Airdrop Guide.
Similarly, precise token economics, dates and launch details about the token itself will only be announced through official channels near release. Nothing here should be considered a confirmed date.
Warning about counterfeit tokens
This is important for those who follow the project closely. If you have seen tokens with similar names on third-party platforms, those are not official tokens.
It is blunt about this. Please only trust the official website xdao.app and the official X account x.com/xdaoapp.
Fake tokens often appear before and after actual release. Before interacting with anything claiming to be an XDAO token, verifying the source is a basic but crucial precaution.
What XDAO already offers today
In addition to tokens, it is also valuable to understand what makes it serious DAO infrastructure (rather than just another governance experiment).
The platform allows any organization to create a decentralized autonomous organization in 60 seconds without writing a single line of code. Afterwards, members can manage shared vault assets through on-chain voting, connect the vault directly to the DeFi protocol, and raise funds through the built-in crowdfunding module.
XDAO also adds a legal infrastructure layer that allows organizations to sign legally binding agreements directly within Telegram. This is a noteworthy step for a multi-chain DAO platform built on blockchain governance principles, as it connects on-chain decision-making with real-world legal status.
In terms of security, in addition to Quantstamp and CertiK, the audit list also includes reviews by Hacken and Pessismistic, adding more independent reviews to the previously mentioned Anthropic Mythos and Trail of Bits reviews.
For users preparing to participate in the Solana ecosystem, setting up an XDAO Solana wallet in advance is a practical step, as Solana-based activities require a dedicated wallet that is separate from the existing EVM or TON wallets of linked accounts.
Vision to transcend DeFi
None of this is accidental. It reflects the same long-term XDAO vision that the team has been talking about in its roadmap communications-building infrastructure that supports real organizations, not just on-chain speculation.
It describes token offerings as a natural continuation of a story that began in 2021, rather than a hypation-driven turn. Five years of continuous construction of free infrastructure, dozens of audits, real-world usage data, and now legal and technical expansion to Solana all support this claim.
How everything integrates
Overall, the XDAO ecosystem now spans three different levels: free open source smart contracts on which anyone can build; cross-chain tokens, which activate cross-network access and reputation; and new Solana products backed by Delaware legal entities.
Each level serves a different purpose. Contracts remain open. Tokens unify access rights for more than 45 chains. The legal basis enables funds, family offices and other institutional participants who were previously unable to participate in the governance of pure code structures to use the ecosystem.
This combination is the key to distinguishing this phase of XDAO from its early days as a hackathons.
Finally
XDAO's evolution from the BNB Chain hackathon project to an ecosystem of more than 45 chains reflects steady, continuous construction rather than sudden hype. The XDAO token does not replace this foundation-it connects it all, providing every network, organization, and user with a single point of access across the entire system.
