How high can DOGE prices go this week?

Dogecoin started this week much more positively than it was a few months ago.

Dogecoin prices are currently at US$0.070, slightly above the low in the current range and well below the US$0.11 level reached in May 2026. July was basically a month of continued weakness, and the DOGE chart still showed a series of lower highs and lower lows. Therefore, this week is particularly important. Markets are trying to determine whether $0.07 will be a meaningful bottom or whether the downtrend is still likely to test further.

What factors may affect DOGE this week?

The most important question in today's news comes not from social media, but from U.S. housing policy.

"Dogecoin will be used for housing loan applications. Significant progress."-- Doggegod (@_dogegod_) August 1, 2026

Doggegod shared that the Federal Housing Finance Administration has instructed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to conduct a study to determine whether cryptocurrencies placed on U.S. exchanges can be used as reserve assets in mortgage risk analysis without first being converted into U.S. dollars. This doesn't mean that Dogecoin will suddenly be used for housing loans tomorrow. But it does signal that regulators are beginning to look at cryptocurrency holdings from a more traditional financial lens. For DOGE prices, this is a more substantive narrative than usual memin speculation.

Institutional capital flows remain mixed. The spot Dogecoin ETF is still trading, but July data showed a net outflow of approximately US$525,980, with total assets still hovering around US$10 million. At the same time, whale activity remains active, with approximately 1.1 billion DOGE (worth approximately $77 million) moving between large wallets.

What does the DOGE chart show?

We did look at the DOGE chart and although the overall structure remains bearish, prices are currently trading below all major moving averages, including the 200-day simple moving average of approximately $0.095, so there has been no confirmation of a reversal in the long-term trend direction.

Although the momentum is low, it does not seem to deteriorate. The daily RSI indicator is currently around 41.6, below the neutral 50 level, but it is still far from the oversold area. In addition, a small bullish divergence formed on the chart near recent lows, indicating that selling pressure is weakening rather than accelerating. At present, the price of $0.07 is indeed crucial. If it falls below about $0.069, traders may expect prices to move towards the $0.06 and $0.05 levels. A rebound above US$0.073 will be the first signal that the support area is being held.

Where DOGE prices may go this week

From now on, barring some kind of catalyst, the best scenario for the next few days seems to be trading volatile in the $0.069 -0.073 range. In terms of optimistic scenarios, the picture is pretty clear: a clean break of $0.073 could push DOGE prices into the $0.075 -0.078 range. This is where all rallies have been blocked in the past few weeks, so if there is profit-taking, this will be the first area for traders to focus on. A pessimistic scenario is a clear break below $0.069, which could cause prices to fall again into the $0.060 -0.065 range.

My best guess is that DOGE prices will be on the defensive around $0.07 for most of the week. Although there is a new story about housing finance, I haven't seen confirmation on the chart until the bulls recover at least $0.073.
