Uniswap's new launch platform triggers the Robin Hood Chain Memecoin market
This week, Uniswap launched a token issuance platform on the Robin Hood Chain, injecting new vitality into the Robin Hood Chain's memecoin market. On August 5, Uniswap's pools.trade was officially launched, providing users with a one-stop service where they can issue, discover and trade tokens with permanently locked liquidity.
This timing means a lot to $CASHCAT. The token rose about 33% on the day it was launched, and has risen nearly 150% in the past week. CASHCAT has become the largest memecoin in the Robin Hood Chain ecosystem. According to CoinGecko's data, it ranks first in the chain in terms of market capitalization and transaction volume. The name pays tribute to Robin Hood's early history: Co-founders Vlad Teneve and Baiju Butt originally named the company CashCat, Fortune magazine quoted the New Yorker. However, the token is not associated with Robin Hood Markets.
Other memecoins on the Robin Hood chain, such as Pipedog and Tendies, also recorded solid gains this week, demonstrating widespread interest in the network's speculative tokens. Robin Hood Chain is a trading application on the Layer-2 network launched in July 2026, mainly targeting tokenized stocks and real-world assets. However, within weeks of launch, memecoin accounted for more than 80% of all transactions on the network.
pools.trade enters competitive launch platform market
According to Entropy Advisors, Uniswap's pools.trade minted approximately 6000 tokens on its first day of launch, exceeding the daily mints of other mature launch platforms on the Robin Hood Chain such as Pons, Flap and Bankr. The platform aims to simplify the process of directly creating and issuing tokens on the Robin Hood Chain. Its model is designed around permanent lock-in liquidity-that is, the founder cannot withdraw from the liquidity pool after issuance. This feature is designed to address one of the common risks in the speculative token market. In addition, the platform integrates with the Uniswap v4 protocol, which introduces features such as hooks and custom liquidity pools, and is expected to gain an advantage in competing with competitors.
The larger background is also worth paying attention to. According to FalconX's research report, within three weeks after the launch of the Robin Hood Chain, the total locked position value has accumulated to approximately US$431 million, the market value of stablecoins is nearly US$400 million, and the cumulative decentralized exchange transaction volume is close to US$9 billion. Although the network has long focused on tokenized assets, more than 80% of decentralized exchange activity still comes from memecoin transactions.
As the novelty of pools.trade's launch fades, whether memecoin's rise can continue remains a key issue. As with any highly volatile token market, sharp gains are often followed by sharp pullbacks.
