Shibburn reports: US$22 worth of SHIBs were destroyed and 4.71 million tokens were transferred to dead wallets
Shibburn, a platform that tracks Shiba Inu destruction activities, reported that in the past hour, only US$1 worth of SHIBs was sent to inaccessible "dead wallets." Although small in amounts, these deals strengthen efforts to continue to reduce Shiba Inu's total circulation supply.
Shiba Inu destruction continues
Shibburn's hourly report described the destruction as "small but meaningful" and noted that "the dead wallet accepted it without complaint," emphasizing the symbolic value of removing SHIBs from circulation every time, regardless of the quantity.
According to Shibburn, even small token destruction can gradually reduce the available supply of SHIB. Previous hourly updates showed that no SHIBs were destroyed during that time period, highlighting the hourly volatility of destruction activities.
In the past 24 hours, Shiba Inu has destroyed a total of 4.71 million SHIBs worth US$22. In the past seven days, the total number of SHIBs destroyed has reached 94.67 million. In the past three decades, US$3.36 billion worth of SHIB has been permanently removed from supply.
Each transfer, even a very small amount, permanently reduces Shiba Inu's circulating supply and consolidates the ongoing destruction program.
Destruction mechanisms in token economics are often designed to create scarcity by reducing supply and potentially support token value. Shiba Inu follows a similar strategy, advancing through the regular destruction of reports from tracking services such as Shibburn.
Dictionary: Shibburn is a community-driven tracker dedicated to monitoring and reporting real-time Shiba Inu (SHIB) token destruction transactions, providing transparent information on the amount of tokens that have been permanently removed from circulation.
SHIB price movements and broader market outlook
Shiba Inu prices rose slightly, hitting an intraday high of US$0.0000475 after a lackluster weekend performance. As of the latest update, SHIB was trading at US$0.0000466, up 1.21% in the past 24 hours, as market participants are waiting for further price directions.
In the broader cryptocurrency market, traders are preparing for a week of important economic data that could affect overall sentiment. Last week's lower-than-expected July non-farm payrolls report lowered market expectations that the Federal Reserve would soon cut interest rates.
Currently, market participants believe the probability of the Fed raising interest rates at its September meeting is close to 46%. Attention is turning to July inflation data released on Wednesday, followed by Thursday's producer price index. In addition, traders will also focus on the number of initial jobless claims each week, as well as July retail sales data and the initial value of the University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index before the weekend.
Destruction status of SHIB in each time period: worth US$1 in the past hour; 4.71 million pieces, worth US$22, were destroyed in the past 24 hours; 94.67 million pieces were destroyed in the past 7 days; and 3.36 billion pieces were destroyed in the past 30 days.
