On August 10, the cryptocurrency market generally fell, but a few tokens rose strongly against the trend. Among them, Curve Finance's native token CRV led the gains, rising 9% in 24 hours, while the market fell slightly by 0.3% over the same period. This expanded CRV's weekly gain to 26%, making it the best among major tokens.

CRV continues weekly gains

Curve Finance is a decentralized exchange built on Ethereum and optimized for low-slip stablecoin trading. Its token CRV is used for governance, pledge and enhanced agreement rewards. According to CoinMarketCap data, the circulation supply of CRVs is approximately 1.53 billion, with the maximum supply of 3.03 billion. The single wallet with the largest holdings is Curve's own voting escrow contract, which holds 35.38% of the total supply, but these tokens exist in the form of locked veCRVs rather than freely traded tokens. This structural locking limits selling pressure and may amplify price fluctuations when demand is strong.

PUMP, Mantle, ICP and WLD are among the gainers.

PumpFun's token PUMP rose 5.3% on the day, and the weekly increase reached 30%. The Solana-based Memecoin launch platform has regained attention with strong agreement revenue. According to DeFiLlama data, Pump.fun's weekly revenue reached US$9.23 million, the highest level since early March 2026; annualized revenue reached US$455.5 million, and cumulative revenue exceeded US$1.22 billion. Part of the platform's fee income is used to repurchase PUMP, thereby creating a continuous source of demand for tokens.

Mantle followed closely, with a daily gain of 5.1%. Internet Computer and Worldcoin rose 4.4% and 3.9% respectively, becoming the other two forces on the gainer list, showing rare gains in DeFi infrastructure and consumer-facing Web3 projects.

This trend highlights a common rule in the cryptocurrency market: when the overall market sentiment becomes cautious, tokens with strong narrative or solid protocol fundamentals can significantly deviate from the market average.
