Coinbase will remove 10 altcoins from its futures market

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced that it will suspend futures contract trading on 10 digital assets

, including Memecoin (MEME), The Sandbox (SAND) and Moonbirds (BIRB).

According to official information from Coinbase, trading of relevant futures contracts will stop around 9 pm on August 26, Turkish time.

The list of contracts that will be suspended and removed is as follows:

Memecoin (MEME-PERP)
The Sandbox (SAND-PERP)
Moonbirds (BIRB-PERP)
Blur (BLUR-PERP)
Katana (KAT-PERP)
SPX6900 (SPX-PERP)
ZORA (ZORA-PERP)
Axie Infinity (AXS-PERP)
Gensyn (AI-PERP)
LayerZero (ZRO-PERP)

Coinbase said that positions that remain open at the end of the trading session will be automatically settled.

According to the exchange's statement, the final settlement price will be calculated based on the average index price for the 60 minutes before the suspension of trading.

At the same time, the funding rate applicable to the relevant contract during the final settlement period will be set to zero.

Coinbase futures trading platform, which once adopted a aggressive trading strategy, has recently made successive decisions to remove the trading platform.
