Shiba Inu community members exposed Shibarium's blockchain browser infrastructure migration and lost brand identity

Mazrael, a Shibarium community member and Shiba Eternity consultant, revealed that after the recent service outage, an undisclosed infrastructure migration occurred behind Shibarium's blockchain browser ShibariumScan. The change surfaced after users discovered that the browser had lost its unique brand identity and Shibnames features, raising questions in the community about the reasons for the missing features.

Infrastructure migration and loss of brand identity

On August 12, Mazrael issued a document on the X platform stating that ShibariumScan had resumed operation and successfully completed data indexing. Although the browser was back online, the brand identity and Shibnames support have not been restored, raising concerns among Shiba Inu community supporters about underlying technical issues.

To further clarify the situation, Mazrael provided specific details of the service interruption. He said changes in domain name system (DNS) settings were a core factor after ShibariumScan's infrastructure had migrated to Cloudflare as of August 11. Previously, Cloudflare managed DNS for Shibarium, but the settings pointed directly to the underlying server. On August 11, the configuration switched to proxy mode, marking the browser's migration to a different network routing.

Mazrael described this as an infrastructure migration and linked the change to the browser's re-emergence in a standard, unmodified deployment form. As a result, neither the custom branding nor the.shib configuration has been restored, and the backfilling feature of the system has been suspended since this migration.

Domain Names and Operations Updates

Following the DNS and proxy changes, Mazrael also observed registrar activity at 19:15 on August 11 and linked it directly to the ongoing migration. He said that the Shibarium domain name is still healthy and has an expiration date of August 1, 2027. Currently, all four domain name transfer locks have been activated, providing additional security.

Mazrael pointed out: "The random number of the V3 factory ranged from 441 to 483, and 42 new mining pools were added, with a total of 69 created in the past 24 hours. I sampled 25 of them: none of them had actual transactions, and the WBONE liquidity of all 25 mining pools was 0.0000." A large number of new mining pools continue to emerge on the launch board, but Mazrael reported that there was no substantial trading activity or new liquidity in these pools. These updates suggest that despite the stability of the technology infrastructure, ecosystem engagement has not yet rebounded in tandem with the return of browsers.

Domain name divestiture and ecosystem transformation

In a broader context, Mazrael explained that recent domain name and infrastructure changes also mark the divestiture of legacy Shiba Inu network assets. He said that multiple original Shiba Inu websites have been closed, and that the Shib Metaverse project is now owned by the new owner and is no longer associated with the main ecosystem. This marks the official separation of the Shibthemetaverse domain name from its previous connection with the Shiba Inu community.

Amid these continuing technological changes and growing awareness in the community, many traders are seeking more reliable ways to monitor ecosystem updates and market activity. In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, switching between different apps to view charts, news and portfolio tracking is costing investors. Savvy traders now use privacy-first tools to integrate everything and get real-time charts, smart price alerts, currency-specific news and key macro data on one screen without having to create an account.
