Meme coins rely heavily on the influx of fresh funds after a wave of strong attention. It is this momentum that Doggy Coin and Shiba Inu Coin built their reputations, attracting millions of first-time buyers during their strongest periods. However, capital inflows to both have now slowed. Their communities remain active and transactions continue, but the new capital that once drove growth has become silent, leaving prices lacking the same purchasing power support.
This slowdown has made capital emergencies elsewhere even more visible. BlockDAG (BDAG) pre-sales raised $2 million in 24 hours, showing that new capital is pouring in at this moment rather than reflecting the old boom of a more active period in the past. Compared with two Meme coins that have difficulty attracting similar interest, this difference reveals the direction in which attention may be currently shifting.
Dogecoin has difficulty attracting new buyers
As the most well-known Meme coin, Dogecoin has a large community, celebrity support and a digital commodity classification assigned by U.S. regulators, which has given it unusual recognition among Meme coins. It is usually the first coin purchased by many novices, and this brand strength keeps it high in terms of transaction volume.
Still, popularity does not guarantee new needs. DOGE has fallen to an annual low of about $0.077, well below its peak, and technical signals have weakened as liquidity tightens and interest fades. Analysts also pointed out that the broader Meme coin sector is losing momentum. Without another wave of buyers pouring in, Dogecoin relies mainly on its existing community rather than expansion, which limits its motivation to move forward.
Shiba Inu coins face fading demand
SHIB has followed a similar path. As a self-proclaimed "dogcoin killer", Shiba Inu Coin has gained a large number of followers and established its own ecosystem, including a ShibaSwap decentralized exchange and auxiliary currencies. At its peak, it generated one of the most hotly discussed gains in the cryptocurrency space and attracted a wave of first-time buyers chasing the momentum.
That buying wave has subsided. SHIB is currently trading about 95% down from historical highs, and although there will still be a brief period of regional active trading, the overall trend shows fading interest rather than continued new demand. The expansion of its ecosystem has not brought buyers back to previous levels. Like Dog Coin, Shiba Coin has retained its community, but growth has slowed, and this lack of expansion is reflected in its stagnant prices.
BlockDAG (BDAG): New capital poured in Phase 1
Unlike waiting for new buyers, BlockDAG (BDAG) showed signs of new capital entering its pre-sales. The project raised $2 million in 24 hours, providing a current snapshot of money being flowing in rather than old data from past periods of strong markets. These funds enter at a Phase 1 price of $0.00002 per piece, which is the earliest and lowest price in the 25-stage plan. The final stage price will rise to $0.05, while the reference price after pre-sales is set at $0.10.
At current prices, 50 million BDAG units can be purchased for US$1000. If the coin reaches a reference price of US$0.10, then the amount will be worth US$5 million, which is equivalent to 5000 times the initial amount based on data released by the project alone.
Unlike Meme coins waiting for the next hit moment, this capital is backed by actual product support. A running blockchain is processing transactions, while an online casino is generating continuous activity for users. Mining hardware is also shipping to buyers around the world, putting physical equipment in the hands of users, rather than just providing future plans. BlockDAGX is under development, as well as an application that integrates wallets, mining, payments and rewards. Pre-sale funds and the company's commitment of US$100 million in liquidity support further provided guarantees for the project.
Summary
Dog coins and Shiba Inu coins have grown through a wave of new buyers, but now both are well below their peak, and there is no obvious sign that another wave of large-scale buying will be ushered in. BlockDAG (BDAG) presents a different picture: it raised US$2 million in 24 hours, with a price of US$0.00002 in the first phase, and moved towards a reference price of US$0.10 in 25 stages. It claims to have 50 times potential from the early stage, and is supported by actual operating products. For those who focus on new capital flows, this contrast is difficult to ignore compared to Meme coins waiting for the next viral outbreak.
