DOGE Hardware wallet maker BitBox discovered a serious vulnerability, and well-known figures in the Goucoin community issued a security warning
After hardware wallet provider BitBox announced that two key vulnerabilities had been found in its device firmware, Mishaboar, a well-known figure in the Goucoin community, issued security advice to Bitcoin holders. This matter stems from a new security patch announcement officially released by BitBox to address these issues.
BitBox reveals security risks
BitBox is a Swiss hardware wallet manufacturer whose products are widely used by many Bitcoin investors. The company confirmed during an internal audit that its firmware had multiple security flaws. According to the company, one of the vulnerabilities could allow a malicious party to trick users into installing counterfeit firmware. Attackers exploiting this vulnerability will be able to unlock devices and potentially steal users 'funds.
To address this risk, BitBox released an update called "Dixence". Users can access the settings menu through BitBoxApp to install. The company emphasized that all users should update their BitBoxApp and device firmware immediately, without delay.
During the audit, BitBox identified vulnerabilities that attackers could exploit to gain unauthorized access. "A serious vulnerability could allow attackers to manipulate users to install malicious firmware, which in turn unlocks devices and steals their funds," the company noted.
BitBox's devices do not support dogcoin, but Mishaboar emphasized that the brand is very popular among Bitcoin holders, so security updates are particularly important to this group.

Mishaboar warned that updates using infected systems could undermine the effectiveness of the security patch itself.
He emphasized that users of BitBox should make sure their computers are free of malware when updating, and suggested: "If you can use a brand new or just-reset computer, that would be even better."
Dogecoin technical indicators indicate possible rise
Cryptocurrency analyst Ali reported that Dogecoin is currently experiencing the narrowest Bollinger Band squeeze since September 2023. This technical signal usually signals imminent sharp price movements due to cumulative volatility.
Ali pointed out that last month, the Tom DeMark series indicator showed a buy signal on the monthly chart of Dogecoin, suggesting a possible reversal. This technical form is very similar to the situation in August 2022, when Dogecoin showed an inverted hammer candle line, a TD buy signal, and then a cross star candle line appeared, followed by a monthly increase of 145%.
At present, the inverted hammer, TD buy signal and the forming cross star candle line appear again on the dogcoin chart. If this pattern repeats itself, analysts will be watching closely for a significant upward move on the candlestick line next month.
