Dogecoin soared 10%, a resurgence of the memin craze pushed it closer to key resistance areas
As the memin market regains its vitality, the price of DOGE rose 10% in 24 hours, approaching the approximately US$0.078 mark. The combined improvement in trading volume, open interest contracts, positive capital rates and market sentiment has provided strong support for Dogecoin's bullish prospects. However, DOGE needs a decisive breakthrough to identify potential trend reversal.
Memein activity surged, with Dogecoin leading the gains
Dogecoin leading the gains in the recent mature memein rebound. Within 24 hours, DOGE was up about 10%, trading at close to $0.078. During the same period, PEPE rose 19%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) rose about 10%. The entire memin market also recorded strong growth during the rebound. The total market value of the sector increased by more than 5.37%, and trading volume surged 189% to approximately US$4.14 billion. Dogecoin accounts for a large share of this, with a daily trading volume of approximately US$1.28 billion, which is more than half of the token's weekly trading volume.
The broader financial environment also supported the rally. The U.S. Treasury Department doubled the size of its long-term bond repurchase program, a decision that injected additional liquidity into financial markets and weakened the U.S. dollar in the interim. A weaker dollar usually benefits dollar-denominated assets, such as cryptocurrencies. Dogecoin benefits as traders move to riskier assets. Market sentiment has increased with the shift in liquidity. The cryptocurrency fear and greed index has climbed from 46 to 62, and the overall sentiment has entered the "greedy" zone. Bitcoin also broke through $70,000 in this rally, while Ethereum rose to above $2,200 as buying pressure spread to major cryptocurrencies. In addition, derivatives data also provides another bullish signal for DOGE.
DOGE faces critical test of trend reversal
Despite the recent price surge, DOGE still faces significant technical challenges. Analysts pointed out that the current downward trend line constitutes resistance. The decline has begun since the "Southern Cross" signal appeared around $0.185. According to reports, DOGE's multiple rebounds have been blocked by the same resistance band. Currently, a new "Meridian Polaris" signal has emerged. DOGE needs a decisive breakthrough before bulls can claim stronger control of trends. Standing above resistance will provide a stronger confirmation of potential reversals.
Current market conditions provide several reasons for optimism for bulls: Memo trading activity across the sector has increased sharply, and DOGE has maintained significant liquidity and strong market awareness. Positive funding rates, rising open interest rates and improving market sentiment all support bullish views. However, traders should not view these signals as definitive price catalysts. DOGE must transform current momentum into continued buying pressure. Strong trading volume helps confirm a breakthrough to resistance, which if a breakthrough fails, could push DOGE towards lower support levels.
